| | Our team is throwing around ideas of what camo to use... thought it would be interesting to see other people's opinion on the subject. Thank you for participating. |

| i personally LOVE MARPAT not only because it = EPIC WIN! but because it was designed for forests like Ohio's and the surrounding areas. although from what ive herd they tested it in one of the far north western states(Oregon i think. well something like that). and as for the desert MARPAT it blends in perfectly with the tall grass/wild hweat looking stuff that is found in most of Ohio's open fields. i would definitely try to stay away from Multi-Cam as everyone has it, it doesn't work as well as some people say by "Blending into the shadows", its pretty ugly, doesn't work if you gun/equipment isn't the same pattern, can only play as Tan-for with it(leaving Green-for behind), really expensive if you don't want to get the stuff that fades.
just some advice

| sticks, that is pretty much the same opinion I have. Although, I did vote for Flecktarn... just kinda like the look of it, but MARPAT is my second favorite. |

| | Seabass_9000 I see what you are saying about the multicam now, more and more. Did you get a chance to read my replies to your post on facebook? The lady from Vermont was really nice about uploading the marpat combat that i asked about. I change my vote to marpat....can i do that? Everytime I look for flectarn it brings up German results. I don't know but I think we want to stick to the U.S. thing. So one more vote for marpat, minus one for multicam. |

| Yeah Flecktarn is strictly a German camo... I understand the patriotism. I felt kinda wierd walking around with it on last year, but I grew to love it. One of my favorites now.
I did see the link, but I couldnt find the Marpat on any of the links on the page. Then I tried just looking around on the site and it seemed super slow... so I decided to wait a while and go back, which I am doing right now. Nope, still seems slow for some reason. I click on the marpat link and it just flatlines. |

| Im guessing flecktarn, but im not sure about the climate in ohio. If you play in sandy areas id say multicamo, but idk if you play in grassy fields, or if theres lots of dirt. Around August-October, woodland might go best with the fallen leaves. Not sure though cause in Florida the leaves stay green year-round
Btw if everyone notices your german camo, then i guess it isnt working |

| Actually I had several people walk within about 10 feet of me without seeing me... so I think the Flecktarn was very effective. In one case, I walked accross an open path into some brush (not very thick) and got down on one knee just to listen for movement. These 2 boneheads we met from the night before (trash talking about how awesome they were) on the other team walked down the path that I had just walked accross about 1 minute later and passed me at about 5 feet. I honestly wasnt even in good cover from the sideview... needless to say, I lit up their ankles after they walked past. Scared the crap out of them!!
It is generally pretty green up here in the months mentioned above. So think green. Later in the year the leaves do fall and turn brown, so at that point tan based camo would be best. |

| Woops I voted wrong, I hit woodland instead of Marpat. Leave it to me
I don't think to much of Flecktarn, it seems like it would only work for fall and spring scenarios... not really great for the peak airsoft season of Ohio. Just seems to me like there would be a bit too much Orange, but this is my opinion and is only based off of seeing it in use once... |

| I am sure you will see it being used several times in practice this season, as Slacker, Stormtrupr and I all have complete BDU's in Flecktarn... So maybe we can do some camo comparison's and post the results on here. Personally, I think it does break up outlines rather nicely and is definitely a more effective camo than most, but that is my opinion. Plus it looks really cool with my AK.
How can you argue with this...

| Stormtrupr!!! welcome to the forum.
Check out the pics of the M14 in the sniper section. I have a pic up of it without the silencer... think I kinda like it better without.
By the way, I put the selector arm back on so it can do full auto. |

Here's my idea. We test all the various camos this weekend, in different lightings and backgrounds, and give our final opinion on which is best for our type of environments (Ohio's type, that is).
No_Show: ACUs (light digital) Woodland Seabass: Flektarn Ace: Multi-cam
Anyone have marpat? Either way, Team Juggernauts will settle this once and for all and share the results with the rest of you! Sound good? Oh, and welcome to the forums, Stormtrupr

| | No_Show, Roamer will have my woodland, so you won't have to bring both. Your ACU might actually work with the snow on the ground. I wish someone had marpat too! |

| Well that would work if there was foilage, but all there is going to be is snow, leaves and bare trees... so it isnt going to be an effective test.
Once spring gets here, it would be a VERY good test to try. We have to do it once there is some foilage. Right now it wouldnt do us any good though do to the fact we are talking about good camo for spring-fall not fall-spring. If we were talking fall-spring, multicam or some sort of desert camo would work best (this weekend a white blanket might be the best camo ). Once there is foilage however, it will be a different story.
Just my 2 cents. |
