Here's a question for all you spotters and snipers: Do you think the spotter should have a (throat)mic/radio setup along with the sniper? Maybe only the spotter should have one? Maybe only the sniper should have one? What do you all think?

I personally think both should have a throat-mic and radio for best communications to each other and to the rest of their squad/platoon/team. I've also heard several different sniper/spotter teams say that only the sniper has the radio comms, and the ...

Is cold weather bad for AEGs?

I have a question I'd like to hear your ideas/experiences with. Does cold weather (here it's around 20 degrees F) have the potential to hurt AEGs? I assume pump/bolt action guns aren't affected too much, and gas guns would have a harder time working due to the already low temperatures the gun works at. But what about AEGs, with their sometimes delicate gearboxes and all the moving parts? Are some gearboxes more fragile in the cold than others? Or does it not even matter? Just wanting to hear ...

So i was the sniper and i had a sweet spot so i took a shot and nailed the dad in the head and he started to unload on me and his son did too with AEG'S. So I came across a pic of my M14 before I put the 650mm Prometheus and silencer on the end... I kind of like it without.

Without the silencer it is much more compact as you may have noticed, and looks pretty cool. It would make for a nice spotter weapon. To bad I am more of a rifleman/support gunner type of guy.

lol ok this time i would like to now what everyones paint job on ther gun looks like

mine isn't much of a paint job its more of a n effort to reduce glare

my gun is clear so i used brown spraypaint and covered most of it up .the reason was b/c when its real sunny outside my gun glares alot giving away my position so i just spraypainted the clear parts dark brown and whaddayaknow it reduced the glare but it is a horrible job. i only spent like 5 min on it lol but my point wasn't to make it ...

Let me just say that this is my opinion, I am entitled to it and you are entitled to your own.

Head shots seem to me to be a degrading to our sport. To me there is nothing sportsmanlike about aiming for a head shot. I always advise people at my airsoft functions (rather small but functions none the less) NOT to aim for the head. My exact words,

"If the only bodypart you can see is the head, then shoot for it. Otherwise don't aim for the head because it is not as safe and not as practical ...

i was wondering what is the standared FPS that you like your sniper systems to have? just include the FPS the why and what your local fields/clubs terrain is like so we can get an idea.

for me i would have to say the 450FPS for a sniping or DM platform. the reason for this is that it only has a 50ft MED(minimum engagement distance) my effective range with my secondary (a KSC M9) is around 40ft max. but i can place shot on a man sized target at 55-60ft. almost all of the ohio fields are made ...

I have just bought a jg bar 10, not G-spec version. I put it together and I noticed after awhile that when I move it from side to side I can hear the sound of a spring or somthing moving around inside. Does your gun do this? Also my bbs are curving to the right. Is this a problem with the hop up. I am using G&G 28g bbs. I haven't cleaned it since I got it, could that be the problem. Thanks for any help you can give me.
