| I just wanted to know how many people would buy a gun preupgraded or how many people would buy a gun not preupgraded. _________________

| I think you got a pretty good poll here BUT I vote for it to be moved to another b/c I think it has implications in more than just gas guns. Do you agree?
My answer (If I could speak about an AEG) is not preupgraded aka stock. I would rather upgrade it myself than have somebody else do it for me. There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying a preupgraded gun, but personally I would feel much more accomplished if I did it myself... I just hope I can do a good job when I start upgrading my M4... I already have, but I wouldn't have done very well at all without the help of ACE. That being said I know ADMIN's CA8 is kick butt. I really think that guns got it all and he bought it like that. He had a couple of upgrades to it and I am not so sure if I would ever want to change it now. |

| I assume when you say pre-upgraded you are speaking of mechbox internals (I.E. NOT barrels, cosmetics, etc...).
For beginners and players that dont want to risk damaging a replica: I vote buy pre-upgraded. If you are interested in this, check out this website as they do fantastic work: www.precisionairsoft.net *It is also nice knowing that what you are buying should work great and should outperform the "stock" version in just about every category.
If you have experience upgrading replica's, you might as well do everything at once so you dont have to open your mechbox again for a while. I assume you are new to the game, therefore I would choose the first one as you dont want to mess up your only replica before you play with it by opening it up and being overwhelmed.
Just my 2 cents. _________________ Classic Army CA36 - 392 FPS Echo 1 AK47 RIS W/ICS M203 launcher - 398 FPS JG Bar 10 G-Spec - 457 FPS (Goal: 550 FPS) ICS M4 CQB - 325 FPS (Perfect for close encounters) |

| Well sticks.13, I have no team to play with, so i've only been able to play back yard.I have been playing backyard airsoft for about 2 years. Well i also have bad news and some good news, bad news is, i'm not allowed to buy a gas gun. the good news is i am going to buy the vsr-10 instead. So that means no kjw m700 for me. _________________

| In that case, I would suggest looking at JG Bar 10, which is basically an exact copy of the TM VSR 10... just half the price. Put the money you were going to spend into a tightbore barrel and do the custom mods that I made a tutorial about on this forum. You will get good results with it. Use high quality BB's such as: KSC .30 BB's. If you want to go for the over 500 FPS mark, you will have to buy a Laylax Zero Trigger kit for it. Which is pricey, but it will handle the power of a stronger spring. You will then want to add a stiff spring of your choice, metal spring guide, and possibly a new cylinder.
I am happy with the way mine is shooting right now and it out ranges just about any replica I have come up against so far. If you have any questions, just PM me.
Here is a link for the JG Bar 10: Regular Bar 10: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_113&products_id=2493 G-Spec Bar 10: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_113&products_id=2790 -The Regular model has a longer inner barrel, but the G-Spec has a mock surpressor that can be modified to actually function quite well... see my post as mentioned above. _________________ Classic Army CA36 - 392 FPS Echo 1 AK47 RIS W/ICS M203 launcher - 398 FPS JG Bar 10 G-Spec - 457 FPS (Goal: 550 FPS) ICS M4 CQB - 325 FPS (Perfect for close encounters) |
