I have peddled around with airsoft for a few years but now i wanna get serious i have played paintball for 6 years now and now i wanna get onto this as a sniper. message me i would love to make new friends Very Happy

well first i need to get a good gun, then was planning on getting a ghillie suit later on after i save a little more. im looking for a gun that will last and is very upgradeable, starting price in the mid $200 range. Very Happy

do you know if you want a Semi Auto Sniper System (like a SR25), a spring bolt system or a gas system?

i would suggest that you buy a DIY kit and add alot of naut veg for the ghillie.

I am perferably looking for a bolt action cause thats more of the real deal sniper in my opion(no offensen to any one else)

Welcome to the sites. There are plenty more qualified people on here to answer your questions with respect to airsoft sniping on here than myself, so I will leave it to them. Have you played with an AEG yet!?! I am sure you have your heart set on sniping and that you are fairly well oriented with the sport already, but you should at least try to borrow a GOOD AEG for a couple of skirmishes to and compare it to the bolt action sniping role to see if it is something you want to spend money on. I am not dissing sniping, but just saying that you should not role out other roles in airsoft before you have even considered them. A lot of newbies, in my opinion, jump right into sniping because it is so played up in our media these days. That does not mean necessarily that you will enjoy it as much as you would other roles.

In the end the decision is your own and solely yours, but I should just hope and caution you to make it an informed decision for the sake of your future enjoyment of this sport. Best of luck and I look forward to your meaningful contributions to our forum!

Well roamer i have played paintball for six years, and have played a little bit of everythin but i am a monster at speed ball. I played semi pro for 2 years and i want to try a more patient role that dosent just lay down the ammo, for costly reasons to, but i have and still am considering AEG'S beause i know i'll tear people a new one if i did go that route haha!

Nothing is set but i am pretty sure i am going to go with a AEG for starters and then pick up a sniper rifle later.

Compared to the well know ECHO 1 M4 Commando?

Echo 1 is a great brand of gun but it is a copy of more expensive brands like most airsoft gun commpanies Classic army is a good companey that you can trust and they make strong durable and long lasting guns now this is not for some one who is going to throw it down in a couple of months and then go get a sniper rifle for the long run I would go with the Echo 1 and some 0.30 gram bb's but really the choice is entirely all yours because I would have chose the L - 9 6 and became a sniper first . Oh and If you want to become a sniper later on but AEG is what you want to start out with then become a spotter that way you can learn from the sniper how to become a sniper , get great training , learn to spot targets better than you could before , and you get to wear a ghillie suit . But you won't be able to fire your weapon as much and will get boring at time s which will save ammo and train you to get some pacients , so it all really pays off in the long run . If you want to know more about guns ask sticks . 13 , if you want to know more about spotting ask Roamer , if you want to know more about the L - 9 6 ask Admin , what ever you do don't ask me anything . I would personally go with the JG Bar 10 before I would a UTG L96, but this is my very own opinion (someone who has never been a sniper and never will be one). I have no desire to do airsoft sinping, but I have been shot at with both of these guns. Both are really impressive, I just like the results from the JG Bar 10 after doing a few simple low budget modifications to it. The first time I was shot with a Bar 10 after such upgrades I was shot in the nose. I saw the sniper and looked him off b/c I knew he could not reach me. I was wrong and my eyes watered up for about 10 minutes afterwards as a result. If you have any questions about the JG Bar 10 or the upgrades to it just PM Seabass who knows from personal experience.
