| So, I started out by making a tutorial on free mods... while that was fun at first, I decided I wanted more out of the replica.
I then started by upgrading initially with some upgraded sears, a Laylax 150 spring, laylax spring guide and that produced some good results. After many good rounds with this and lots of kills... I then decided to go all out... this is where it started getting interesting.
First I ordered a KM Head tightbore barrel, then I decided to drop the big dough on the Laylax Zero Trigger kit, and a Laylax 170 spring... with the other upgrades already in it, I am now shooting 520 FPS with .2 gram bb's. With KSC .3's it has some serious range and the accuracy is definitely there. I am looking forward to using it at practice soon... not sure how the guys will respond to it, but hey, thats what friends are for. My engagement limit is 75-100ft depending on where you play, but I can probably shoot about 250ft without much drop off. So if you see some guy aiming at you and you think "there is no way I could shoot that guy"... you might want to find some cover.
Eventually I will get some pics of the Zero trigger, and some of my other upgrades... Along with a nice range / accuracy test session to give you guys an idea of what 520 fps is like compared to the typical 300-400 fps. _________________ Classic Army MG36 - 2500 rounds of pure fury. | I also modded my old KM head barrel to my G-Spec. It works fantastic!
Did you have to sand down two little 'walls' inside the hop-up? Just wondering, if not I might pick up a BAR10 and do some high FPS upgrades to it for the very few games where I could use a 401+ FPS rifle...
The best sound test is to shoot tarp with the different guns(300, 400, then 500). You can definitely hear the 500FPS hit the tarp. That sound put me in my place more than once back in the good ole Fran Bar days .
