new game types

what are some new game types that you have thought of or derived from video games?
one that i think would be great is Assasination from GOW(Gears of War) this is where a squad of 3-4 people get in a deathmatch, but a team can win with two ways. kill the entire squad, or kill the leader (who in airsoft could be marked with a florescent flag or something)

what do you think?

I recently got a briefcase with a 6 digit combination lock built in. I wrote the comination on the top. I then purchased a kitchen timer (louder one) and made a little bomb looking like thingy. Mabye I'll post a couple pics?

I haven't got to use it yet, but I plan on having two teams. One wins IF the timer goes off, the other if they stop the timer before it goes off. The point of the combination lock is to slow ppl down... to simulate disarming a bomb. I kind of thought of this on my own, but I am sure somebody has already done this. If you want a video game to pair it with... any Rainbow Six game will do lol

haha, no need for a videogame similarity, but that works! that sounds like an awesome game! now all you need are airsoft turrets that you can use to guard the base! great idea!

i think it looks pretty sweet! another variation of your game would be two teams against one, where the one team has to travel to two bases, one to find the cobination and the other to get the briefcase. the only problem would be that you cant change the combination of the briefcase (i think)

Well, at Blind Fury last year Slacker made a small c4 looking device out of some cigar tubes, electrical tape, and a kitchen timer... his plan was to trade it for intel from the militia. Of course, they would see it and think it is part of the game, which it wasnt...

Not sure if he actually pulled it off or not, but it was pretty legit looking when he was finished.

Don't know if this is a game or not, but I just thought of it by myself the other day so be gentle. Still needs testing.
So it is basically a mesh between team elimination and assination. A VIP is picked from each team. The teams know who their own VIP is, but don't know the opposing teams VIP. The first team to assassinate the other teams VIP wins, all other kills are meaningless. I just thought this would be worth a shot. Probably wont be fun and will never be tried again.

the only problem i see is that the other team wouldnt tell you that you killed their VIP

Definitely a possibility... I guess you would just have to take their word for it or shoot all of them at once. Thats probably what I would do.

this has been used in some other games. not in a long time. the last time ive seen it used was during one of the many fran bar games(i forget which one), and that was probably 1.5-2 years ago(before it became FuBar). it was a very fun game. a little geared twords snipers. the squad had to escort the VIP to a determined zone (they also had a ref escort to make sure they were telling the truth). they HAD to follow a specific grid trail (but they could move anywhere in those grids). in the end one of the DM's got the VIP.

I think Team Leader from Rainbow Six Vegas 2 would be awesome to play. Although I wouldnt know how you would "respawn" dead members. Maybe have them lay on the ground for 8 seconds or something?

Me and my buds came up with a game called 'zombie soldiers' and if someone has already come up with this i am sorry. what we do is one person starts out with a floresent green band around his/her arm , and when they shoot some one the person they shot whill go to the "zombie" base and put on some tape,arm wrap,etc. and then we play that until there is no "humans" remaining. It is only fun though when u have 12+ people.
