Hello Disco is Alive and Well

Hey everyone im fresh and new to the airsoft campaign. Im super excited to get to started playing in some matches. Im an ex marine that really misses running around in the woods shooting at people.

So I ordered thet UTG MK96 od from airsoft Gi last week and should be recieving it sometime around wednesday. I ordered .30g bb's with it after reading that the heavier bb's will be more accurate trading off for more wear on the internals of the weapon. Hopefully I did the right thing. My buddy also ordered the mk96 and some .38's. Any info on these purchases would be greatly appreciated.

Ive also got a guillie suit and full bdu's as well as everything needed to obtain maximum cover and conceilment for my upcomming foray into this amazing looking sport.

Yes, welcome!! It's great to have another Ex-Military fellow on here. We've got a few already. The UTG MK96, or L96, is a pretty good pick. It is probably the most popular sniper rifle out there. It's reliable, accurate, and the bolt has an easy throw. Also, you made a very smart choice by picking up some .30s. You should be amazed with the accuracy of your gun while using a BB of that weight. We've got plenty of information on here for beggining snipers, you should check it out.

umm in my climate .30 would be wayy to heavy i go with .28 but i dotn know were you lives

I live in NW Florida. WHat upgrades can I get for the Mk96?

umm im not much of an internal person to ask but you could paint it, scope,bipod rifle wrap( a sort of like ghillie for your rifle) and thats all i can segggest

I mean things like spring upgrade and barrel

There are some good spring upgrades you can get, but remember, the more powerful the spring , the harder it is to cock (Not a problem for a Marine) and the MK96 and L96 have their own line of springs, make sure you do not buy an AEG spring too.

Hey disco welcome to the greatest sport to be invented. If you miss running through the woods, and kicking #@$ and taking names then youve choosen the right game. For your gun as far as upgrades, im not much of an internals myself but a tightbore barrel upgrade increases accuracy and your fps, which may lead to longer shots

So do I contacy UTG for the spring upgrades?
