Hello I am the bees knees (awesome name huh) I have played in several "backyard" airsoft wars, although I have never purchased one I plan on it very soon (possibly the l96 or ak-47 paratrooper.) I hope my stay here is an enjoyable one.

Welcome to the Forums

I reccomend a AEG or UTG MS3 spring shotgun for backyard wars. Could you link us to the guns you want?

Hello, welcome to the forum first of all.
Secondly,if you mostly play backyard Airsoft battles, then you should I would say get an Electric AEG or UTG type gun or maybe a UTG Shotgun, depends on what type of terrain you play in.I probably would reccomend Paratrooper AK47 it's good gun decent FPS and in backyard wars you don't need some 450 FPS G&G or CA.But if you've played Airsoft for a certain amount of time get an AEG I've played airsoft for about 6-7 months and have a 365 FPS M4.
Hope some of this helps

http://shortyusa.com/index.html?RID=4328 and http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/AGM_MP002_AWP_L96_Sniper_Rifle_w_Bipod_and_Scope_p/mp002b-bipodscope.htm I like the ak because it's small has a folding stock so its easy to lug around plus it comes with two high cap. magazines. The l96 comes with a bipod and a scope. Plus our "backyard" wars are full of very experienced players (the kind of players that are experienced enough they payed $300 dollars on their SIDE ARM, yea.) So a sniper could very well work in that mix. I also have enough dinero for both but I will probably buy them at seperate times.

For a beginner, I would recommend an AEG. then see if sniper is the role for you. Anyway, welcome to the forum!
