Has anyone upgraded the CA M24 from spring to gas? I have upgraded the spring allready. Actually I just dropped the spring from a broken UTG L96 and what a difference. Any good upgrades would be welcome.

If you go on HotSpot Airsoft's website they actually have a Custom gun that is a CA M24 upgraded to gas.

Great thanks. I have seen the gas bolts but not sure if any thing else needs to be done. Would love to hear from someone thats done the upgrade. I bought it used and I need to replace the end of the bolt where the little ball bearings are. The spring out of the utg l96 is stronger than the CA stock spring. I just checked out the hotspot airsoft site. I see the gas bolt but not an upgraded M24.

The advanced cylinder should put it at about 500 FPS. I have a question though. Why do you want to make it to gas since for less money you can make it shoot 500+ FPS and it will be more reliable in the cold, and you wont need to worry about gas or anything.

Actually I was just curious as to how they come out. I will probably keep upgrading as spring but I would think there is less wear and tear on a trigger and other parts of a gass system rifle . No?

It seems like it would but it would also require more matinence if it was gas and lots of cleaning and ughh. Gas guns are a pain IMO.
