You could get a new spring something like an M120 spring sould bring it up to around 400 FPS correct me if im wrong. A new spring would be the easyest way to higher FPS. I don't know anything about internal upgrades but you could find an M120-M150 spring on any airsoft website probably in the internal upgrades catagory.

Im not sure I don't really know anything about internal upgrades you would have to ask somebody else. But I think you could just replace the spring and that should be alright.

my brother says to get the origanol plastic one because the inner outer barrels are cheap metal but that is 170 is there a better M4 for less

I don't think so unless you go with like an Echo 1 M4 or a JG M4 which both could easly be upgraded. According to ASGI they have sold a bunch of combat machine M4's and have recived little to no returns. As long as you take care of your and a basic idea of how to handle and care for it it's going to work for you.

I would go with Echo over JG although your going to be sniping with it the JG has a 400+ FPS in it so there would be no need to buy that spring.

Why don't you save up maybe like to $260 and get a full metal G&G or Classic Army? Those will serve you very well and are also easy to upgrade.

To use a Spring between an M110 and M120, you should be looking towards a SP or % spring.

If your target FPS is between 400 and 450 , you could use any of the following springs,
I don´t reccomend using Systema Springs ( anybody that has been here a while knows my feelings about Systema ), but to be fair they are also included in the List.

Remember all Values are based on the premise that the system is operating 100% correctly, no air leaks, full compression. If you install a Bore Up set this will also increase your FPS, but to fully realize the benifits, a Bore-Up set starts to pay off at the M120 level.

its a v.2 gearbox and i just want something more than 320-340 but under 400

Then use any of the springs in the first table.

One that I forgot that would probably be the best for what you are looking for is the MadBull M110 ( 370-390 FPS ), IMHO the best AEG springs on the market right now.

I have never used this piston, but I can see no reason why it shouldn´t work just fine.

I like the fact that it already has the tooth modification done, saves a little work.
