How do you put in a tighter barrel?

I'm looking to get myself a tighter barrel for one of my guns. Before I do though, can someone explain to me how you put in a tighter barrel?

Fit it in the hopup if its a CA hopup you probably won't be able to

This is an m4 hop up, but it gives you an idea. I have no experience with the m14 hop up though.

I cannot find a guide on how to remove a barrel but I would imagine that as soon you remove the gearbox, the barrel and hop up should be able to be pulled out going towards the stock.
