Both my brother and my friends think that I should sell my Vector arms AK 74 and my crappy XM8 to save up for a SAW. Now I admit it would be my style, but do you think it would be worth selling those guns for an Ebay SAW? scratch

I would only buy a saw if you have experience upgrading an aeg. this is because you will go trigger happy with this gun. Also, there is no warranty on ebay, so be careful.

yeah, i wouldn't buy anything used unless you had extensive experience with upgrading, internals, that sort of stuff. chances are, you'll either A) spend a couple hundred on a non-existent SAW that never did exist, or B) get a piece of crap that will take weeks of blood, sweat, and tears to fix. IMO, i'd sell the guns, then save up a little and buy a brand new SAW from AirsoftGI or Evike.

I must concur with Jarhead999 76 65, although buying a used airsoft weapon is Ok, you don't want to buy one that doesn't work, so I would play it safe and buy a new SAW.

Maybe save up for a few months before selling anything and see where that gets you, do your research, what do you want to upgrade, etc.

If your really looking into getting a SAW but you don't want to sell your guns look into a C-mag/Drum mag for you Ak-74. Although its not a really SAW like the M249 its still a SAW anything that is going to lay down an impressive ROF with lots of rounds going down on your target is not going to think "oh thats not a SAW" there gonna be sitting behind that tree wondering when your gonna stop shooting. Also some of the higher quality Drum mags cost as much as $150 but theres some that are $50 that work just as good.

^thats a run-on sentence my bad.

Anyway if I gave you that idea look into these Drum mags....

Yeah im sure you could fine something on Ebay. But remember some of the stuff on Ebay is used and may not work and you also may get scammed and get a product that may not work.

yeah, i know many people who have bought stuff on ebay, and gotten their money taken. and, like STORM said, that's not a bad idea about the drums and C-mags. i've been thinking about a C-mag for my G36C.

A buddy of mine bought an MP5 off Ebay and it worked for about a month. But I'm not sure if a SAW is what you want.....it takes a lot of experience on the field AND inside the gun to really get it's full potential out of it. We've all been through stages where we want a SAW, but if you really want it I would suggest some serious research first on proper HMG tactics and SAW internals.
