| Keep a nice rock or leafy tree branch nearby. If you're a sniper and you're not a big fan of ghillie suits(for some reason), and you fail to shoot an opponent who is getting closer, then before he spots you, chuck a rock or some other object with high mass into the bushes away from you. Your opponent will look away which will give you the opportunity to get in another shot. Other than that a nice tree branch will cover your face from your enemy. If you choose to do this, you can also strap a tree branch to your rifle. I may have just waisted your time and mine, but hey these things can come in handy. | |

| i agree, i used this tactic when playing against my friend and his 2 brothers, they were scouting around and i took a shot but missed, so i chucked a rock and all three of them turned and looked pointing their guns at the bush, then i snuck up behind them and said bang bang bang and i got them all ha ha it was awesome. | |

| Well if YOU throw the rock hard enough to get it a distance away from you (provided it's pretty heavy) isn't the motion of throwing more likely to get attention from your opponent before the rock lands? The human eye is trained to spot other human shapes, especially ones making big, awkward movements such as throwing a rock.
Maybe get someone else a little ways away from you to throw the rock? | |

| or you could have a string tied to a bush or tree, and when they get close, yank on the string, and when they look, open up on them | |

| You would need to find some kind of fishing string so it is hard to see and is strong enough. And you will not be able to get in a shot with one hand. But I can see how that can definitely fool someone. Nice idea. | |

| I think this will work if they don't see YOU throwing the rock or where it came from. | |
