Clear famas

If anyone is familiar with the cheap clear famas from walmart then can you help me with something? I am trying to get a better handle on how airsoft guns work and I decided to work on my old clear famas to help me under stand. The only issue is that I have no idea how to get the pistol grip off. I took the two screws out from the bottom of it but there is no real way for me to see how to get it off. Any help would be great thanks.

I found the answer to my own question. The bottom of the pistol grip where you take the plate off is like super glued on you you have to put some force into it.

If you want to start to learn about the guts of an AEG then the worst thing to do is start on a cheap walmart FAMAS. everything is below "Low-Grade" on it and i would suggest a cyma AK or JG gun.

Ya I was more interested in like what some of the stuff looked like. I plan on taking my jg apart but at the same time I wanted to at least have something under me before I go gutting a gun I kinda need.

Well if you're looking for an anatomy gun, I'd check out the GI or Evike boneyard. You can pick up some mid-level AEG's (some working, some not) for less than half their shelf price. I've gotten 1 gbb pistol and 1 springer shotgun off them...both totalling less then $100...both mint condition.

Lol ya I noticed that once I got inside of it. But hey now I know how to take a clear famas apart =P
