Sniper

Hi everyone. Im quite new here but I had a question. Should I get the CA Sportline M15A4 for about 160$ or the UTG M324 Magnum Gen 3 Spring Airsoft Sniper Rifle for about 105$. Im leaning toward the sniper rifle cause we don't have games here in SC Whats your guys opinion? THANKS!

hmm.. well, i think before deciding guns, you should completely decide whether you'd like to be a sniper or not. If you haven't tried gunning with an AEG, then i think you should before you decide just to snipe right away. hope this helps a little.

Also try looking on youtube, or google a gun that you might want, and you'll get a lot of information and reviews.

I really wanted to be a sniper but i went with a aeg to start but will go to snipeing later going with a aeg will give you a feel for the game first.

But i am goin to get a sniper most likley the JG- bar 10 as soon as i save some more.

exactly. pokechan, i guess i would recommend an AEG if you're just starting out in airsoft. if you have some experience, and you want to be a sniper instead, then i would recommend the BAR 10
or L-96 for starting out sniping. but remember, you are the one who will have to live with the gun, so its YOU'RE final decision on which gun you'd prefer. hope that helps a little, remember... again we are just here for advice, not to decide for you.

Thanks guys! Fact is, here in SC, we don't have any games near my area. Plus, im way too young to drive so... But I also don't have lots of money to spare. In can't get money fast . But thanks!

BTW I love sniping and im pretty good at it. Like ive used a friends gun and I was able to hit a 3 inch target about 100 FT away. Keep in mind that that was a pretty cheap one. Maybe 70$ he said.

We don't have any games here in wisconsin either, and technically, they are illegal in my town, but you can still play with your friends in the woods, or even shoot at targets! even though there are no professional matches by you, you can still have fun with them. If you have the money, i would get a gun.

Bigboy, I live in Goose Creek. Pretty far But you wouldnt have much fun playing with me, im only 11 But another question, im only spending money on 1 gun, what would you say for me. PERSONNALY I like snipers, im pretty good with them.

Go with the UTG I have one, exact same model, works great, never lets me down, All you have to do is be nice to it and it will be nice to you.

My friends at ASF recommended this for me http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=27712 If you look around a bit more then you can find an ACU camo one. Would that be better than the m324? Both are UTG.

Pokechan: I think you're going to want to invest your money into an AEG. This is for two reasons:

1 - Airsofters typically have more fun with AEGs. They require less patience, more activity, and more adrenaline (typically). It's good to start airsofting with an AEG and work your way to sniping if you still have that desire later on. AEGs can still make "long shots," so don't feel like you'll be limited with one. This brings me to my second point.
2 - Airsoft sniper rifles are a blast, but to have an effective range over typical AEGs you're going to need to upgrade your rifle like crazy. This requires a lot of money. There are the two exceptions that people have mentioned: the WELL/UTG L96 and the JG bar-10. If you're still set on a sniper rifle then please get one of these. The UTG L96 will give you great stock FPS and accuracy and the JG bar-10 will come with great stock specs as well, but is also very easy to upgrade to give you even better performance. This doesn't make other models around these price ranges useless, just harder to use. Someone mentioned the UTG M324 for example. This gun is far from useless in an airsoft battle, it's just that much harder to be effective with because it has a limited range on it.

Echo 1s are great starter guns. Actually, the great thing about them is that they're even better than just simple "starter guns:" They can be upgraded from their standard stock selves to very powerful AEGs that hang with the high-end guns just fine.
