Which BDU's are you talking about. The normal woodland BDU's that have been RAID modded(sleeve pockets), ACU cut, or MARPAT cut?

Well to RAID mod them, you'll need:

1: stitch puller(sewing item, your mom might know what this is, maybe by a different name to)
2: large sewing needle
3: usually a 4X3 patch of Velcro(measure the dimensions of the pockets)
4: OD green "high strength" or sometimes also called "heavy duty" thread
5: fine tip sharpie

First take the stitch puller and remove the bottom pockets from the BDU's.
Second sew velcro onto unattached pocket with needle and thread
Third outline unattached pocket onto sleeve
finally attach pocket with OD thread and needle

If you have pockets on your sleeves then they should have velcro.....

Yes there is Iron on Velcro.... But I'm a fan of sewing things on. You could substitute the sew on velcro for iron on; or get some iron on velcro and iron/sew it on... Also, I don't know how easy it is to find OD or Khaki iron on velcro....
