Subject: Which MOLLE vest would you prefer? Thu Jan 14, 2010 7:04 pm
I plan on getting a MOLLE vest or rig, but I'm not sure which one would be the best for me. I'm pretty new to airsoft so I don't really have a certain role but as of right now I use an M14 JAE, if that helps. I've narrowed it down to these three:

Hmm... the third one looks like a good choice. What do you like to do on the field? That will help us some.

The first two look like they'd fit a thinner guy better, third one looks like it would be better for a more stocky guy. The second one has belt loops to help keep it from riding up, but I've never had a problem with that happening. When eventually I replace my current vest, I'm going to get the first one you linked.

I had the first one, and I absolutely hated it. It didn't fit my skinny body at all, it did fit the bigger guys better though.
The second one is supposed to be worn over body armor(PASGT/Interceptor). So it fits pretty big. If you are over 16 this shouldn't be a huge problem, its pretty adjustable.
The third one looks like utter crap. I have never seen something so ugly. I don't know much about it other than that..

Would you recommend a plate carrier like this one: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_171&products_id=2767 (I'm trying to go for a DevGru look.) Would this even fit me; I'm about 5'5 and 150 lbs. Also, do any of you actually use one of those fake plates that they sell on airsoft sites?
