Painting a MP5K Tan?

It doesn't have any rails at all. I was kind of inspired by this. I prolly wouldn't paint the whole thing tan, just parts. I'd leave the irons, action, charging handle, trigger, and butt plate black.

I vote no. H&K Replicas are always ment to be black IMO.

Not the G36 series. OD looks the best on it. But a camo pattern on a HK replica is a fail unless it is flecktarn!

I voted it would look BA but not practicle. I think you should only do some parts of it like you said.

How about the forward grip and the stock? Unless it doesn't have a stock. Maybe the pistol grip as well?

I'd paint everything but those parts tan. There is not stock.

i say paint it flat black. everything is good in black.

Eh in my opinion you should either leave it black or paint just a few parts black.

Well, lemme explain the whole reason why I want to paint it. See, when I'm playing, I'm going to be in a primarily tan loadout, and the black is going to be a big contrast to the tan. From a distance, I imagine a big scary black shooting-thingy dangling from a sling against a tan/CB background is going to attract a bit of attention, don't you think?

btw: My field envrironment is basically Iraq, haha

Haven't been out there yet, haha. They don't open 'till April, but I know the general environment. Lemme show you. Go on to Google Maps and type in Moriarity, Torrance, New Mexico. Click on satellite. Now follow Route 66 east 'till you get to Estancia Ranchettes. See all that sand? Yep, that's pretty much the area. So it's more like northern Iraq, haha

Which do you mean by reciever mgunner? Like just the upper reciever, or....?

upper and lower....protect the fire selector marks, but please when you cut=out tape to go ever them use a knife or something....just tearing it looks like shiitt

Well, yeah. that's what I planning on doing. The lower reciever is actually only the fire selector switch and the trigger mechanism, so it'll be easy enough to do. I was just going to tape off the fire selector switch/area, trigger, the front and rear irons, charging handle, and remove the butt plate. I'm going to remove all the internals when I do this.

Haha, no worries man. I won't be doing anything just yet though. I want to let the poll finish and decide where I'm going from there.

My MP7A1 is meant to be Flecktarn The country's (Germany) camouflage. It would look beautiful in my opinion.

He'd have a helluva time painting that, though.

I mean, sure, it would look sweet, but as far as practicality goes, flecktarn gets a big fat "no" for my environment

Heh, forgot about that perspective on the matter. Jarhead999, now that I think about it, an MP5K in the scheme of a MEU or SOF would look pretty darn cool. I'm for it.
