| Ok this is the tactic I call Monster its a useful tactic if your being pinned down but you have superior skill and speed of an enemy. First you and you teammate are taking moderate fire from one or more area's what do you do? Well you call Monster! All monster is, is a fast paced cover to cover firing tactic. So heres the tactic: First you sprint to close cover then when you get their you supply cover fire for your friend who then moves to cover and puts out cover fire for you its that simple its a perfect way to get up close and personal with a sniper or for capturing a base or do it backwards for a retreating plan. | |

| Well if your looking it says only to do if the enemy has inferior weapons now if they had a SAW or some High Powered AEG's no i wouldn't try this but its an effective tactic if you have smoke out or if you are quick on your feet. | |

| I think mgunner meant that this is not an original strategy. Leapfrogging, or in its reverse form: "tactical retreat", is already a commonly accepted tactic for safe advances and withdrawl against a superior, entrenched, or "better" equiped OPFOR. Nice try though! Someone want to search for links to other threads on leapfrogging to help comrade out? | |

| Ah, yes, an excellent tactic, Comrade. We used to do this at my CQB field all the time. Another thing we would do is keep the OPFOR pinned by firing, stopping and waiting for a few seconds, and firing again in a predictable pattern. Then, we'd wait until the OPFOR got ballsy and tried to run to cover when another fireteam member would pick him off. It's certainly not good for ammo, but it gets the job done. | |

| For anyone who hasn't seen it, you might check out the Magpul training video "The Art of the Tactical Carbine." It's loaded with great stuff like this. You can probably find pieces of it on YouTube. | |
