Need some help with a project

Okay guys, I need a good movie-making system that I can get for free. But I don't want to making movies, I'm making like a slideshow, if you will. Like a powerpoint. It's got pictures, I got a song for it, I just need a program to put it all together. User-friendly would be great, I'm AWFUL on a computer.

Very funny, except Power point is to out-dated, and doesn't have the features I need. Like I can't add a song from Itunes on mine. Shouldn't you be able to do that? I think I have maybe an older version.

You can add a song to it unless you bought the song from the iTunes store. The Powerpoint program on my old school's computers was pretty versatile, but I dunno.

iTunes protects their files, but if you burn the song you want from itunes to a cd, and rip the cd, you should be able to use it in MANY other uses

You can use windows movie maker, if it is not on your computer, you can download it from the internet, it is very easy to use, just link your files to the program when you start it up, and then drag them to the time line.

Also try photo story 3....maybe theres a 4 now lol. It's free from microsoft and pretty good.

If you do use it a tip...make the slides on power point and save them as pics, that way you can easily import them to photo story.

I love windows movie maker, I play around with it all the time.

I got he song from FrostWire, then put it on Itunes. Can I still use it??

Yes you can DT.....but you might have to move it into a "Documents" file Thats how I get all my music onto WMM...just drag from itunes into the folder a TADAA!!

How do I add text to a frame in Movie Maker??

Firstly, go to itunes, then right click on the song you want, click on properties and look for the files location. Once you find it, go to that location in movie maker and click on your song, it will load it into movie maker and you can drag and drop it onto the time line and adjust how you want it to be.

Edit: It should have an *Add titles button* of some sort which you can click and enter your selected text into.

Otherwise try ''Animoto''. Just throw in your pictures and music...edit text on slides and it'll pretty much do all the work for you...if thats what you want.

I second animoto 95% of the time though, some times it doesn't give me all that I expected

Question though: The song I used is about 6:30 minutes, but my video is only about 5:45...how do I make it end without playing the rest of the song??

Well, I don't know about Movie Maker, but with FInal Cut Express (What I use) I can just cut the audio stream. Try something like that.

I tried "cutting" it, and it took out the whole clip.
But I moved on from that now, please see my new post and help me figure out a non-shitty way to get this thing on the net!!

sorry, theyre the only decent songs in audioswap. Since WMG blocks like every song thats good I have to use audioswap.

Okay guys, I'm making another one, but I'm attempting to use a song from Itunes. I keep saving it in various folders, but when I click Import Ausio on WMM, the file (song) just isn't there. Getting frustrated. Is it because the song is from Itunes? It's an "MPEG 4"

Hmmm, I had to deal with this exact problem last night....
I ended up using a song from Rhapsody... they're not like itunes.
Ituens is annoying to say the least...
