Basically, a friend of mine has gotten permission from the Forestry Service to use 180 acres of land near Taos, New Mexico. It has a lake, mountains, hills, trees, cliffs, all the good stuff. It's a four day OP. Games will be played into the night. It is a MilSim game. There are three places to stay; a safe zone next to the lake, on the field (if you are on the field, you will be considered a combatant and can be attacked at any time) and at a hotel in a nearby town. Vehicles are NOT allowed. To get to the field, you must park your vehicle and walk about an hour up switchbacks of varying grades. An ATV will be available to carry some gear, such as tents, food, and water but you will need to carry all replicas, tac gear, and clothes. All Pyro is OUTLAWED. There are age limits, but I can't remember them exactly. Will post more if I can think of it.

UPDATE: Age limit is 15, but 14 year olds are allowed to go with restrictions.

This event has no limit on the number of people. We currently have 47 people going. Come on people, let's make it 100!

There has been a slight problem with the ATV, so we will only have it for the first day and the last day. I advise staying in town or bringing plenty of food and water if you're going to camp.

Ryan will begin registering people within the next week, and if you register then, you'll save $10 off admission.

Prices are:
$15 if you register

$25 the day of the event

If you come late, they'll take $5 off the price for each day

Camping is $5 a day, pays for wood, security, and restroom facilities

If you wish to fish in the lake, a license will be needed. They are $30 for non New Mexico Residents for one week and a photo ID will be needed. If you do not have a license and you attempt to fish, it will be dealt with swiftly. Such an action can get the event shut down.

The Alpine Lodge in Red River, New Mexico will be giving us discounted rooms. Rates will be $23.50 per head per night. It would be advisable to sleep four people to a room.

Also, if you plan on camping, an increase in Bear activity in the area has been reported. The event organizers will attempt to create a secure area for campers, but seeing as it is nature after all, nothing can be guaranteed. Staying in town is recommended.

My name is Ryan and I'm the Organizer of Operation Green Phoenix on behalf of all NM Airsofters we would like to extend an invite to you to joining us from August 13-August 17. I first want to thank JarHead999 76 65 for his wonderful advertising. Just so you are all aware we have a massive field 180Acres of US Forestry Service land with a 8arce lake. The terrain is rolling hills, cliff, rivers, lakes, several waterfalls, forest areas, and meadows. We have the chance for people to not only camp but to stay in town. We have ways to take materials to the AO and ways to get it back. The AO is 2miles from the road so we will have little to no outside interference. The games include Team Death Matches to the use of Laptops to Hack Enemy systems or even disable nukes. We have Lots of Info on my website
