Quick guitar question.

Alright, I was wondering if Silvertone makes decent guitars. I just want to know if they completely suck. I am just wondering if the company makes decent guitars in general, because I got a really good deal on one and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't complete crap. Any help would be appreciated!

My older brother says they're crap...he's been playing since he was 7...so...hahah

haha well for 30 bucks I might get it just to fool around... and it's coming with an amp and a stand... so if the guitar really sucks I can just keep the amp lol

Yeah. I mean for just 30 I can just jack around with it until I get a better guitar. I have an acoustic Gibson Maestro... which for $100 isn't bad

Yeah Gibson has some nice guitars

....don't. JUST don\'t. For 30 dollars, you could get a squire, which is a higher quality craptar made by fender. I've been playing for 6 years, and have had 4 guitars, not one of them over 200 dollars. But as long as you take care of them, (I have upgraded mine) they will last you a long time. If you can save up 100 bucks, I recommend an epiphone les Paul jr. Ive had mine for 3 years, and it still works and sounds great.

There are $30 dollar Squiers?

I've never seen one. My brother plays guitar (non-stop -.-), and tells me that if he saw a squier for $30, he would destroy a country to get it, even though he doesn't need it. He has 8 guitars...

I wouldn't get it, doesn't seem right, and won't work right
Compared to a $500 telecaster..... so *AIRSOFT TERMS* if I had an upgraded TM and there was a CYMA........

See if you can test it.
Mess around with amp and the electronics on the guitar and the amp.
Then make your decision on what you think after that.

Yeah I get to test it. But from what I know it works fine.

But how does it sound? And do the electronics work?

I'm not sure yet. I get to test it tomorrow. But it also comes with and amp, and input/output cable and a stand.
