Hello, all! Haven't been on in a while, been busy once again!
With sorrow, I see that my very first thread..."This or That?"...has died (*sobs*).
He/she was so young (well I don't exactly know how much 44 pages is in, err, forum years, but I'll go ahead and say he was). He was like a child to me, and well, it saddens me to see his departure from the internets, but I suppose that is not all that bad amirite?

Anyways...DID YOU GUYS SEE THE RALLY TO RESTORE SANITY AND/OR FEAR?!?!!?!? IT. WAS. SWEET.
I drove with my parents all the way up to D.C. to see that live, and it was worth the gas money!

Here was my sign:

YES! WAS FLIPPIN' AMAZING. I've never been more proud of my nation.
I have so much respect for Colbert and Stewart. They're really using their talents to better the lives of others. Not many people can say that.

It seemed a whole lot more than 200,000 when I was there, but I think that is the general figure. I really appreciate and agree with Stewart's stance, we definitely need to take the reigns and start knocking some sense into people! I especially like these two quotes, they really sum it up:
"We live now in hard times, not end times... We can have animus and not be enemies."

and...

"Our country's 24-hour political pundit perpetual panic conflictenator did not cause our problems, but its existence makes solving them that much harder."

I don't really agree with either of them, but I like Colbert alot, he doesn't take himself too seriously.
I really don't like Stewart, rubs me the wrong way.

Ah well, I've never really had much of good taste for movies. I respect your opinion wholeheartedly, I can definitely see how some do not like Stewart (a lot of people don't), he does get a bit too left-y at times.
