So, I've been looking for some sort of DMR for a while. I was going to get the Airsoft Gi G4 A3, but it's never in stock, so I started looking at other guns. What do you guys think of the G&G M14? Is it any good? All the reviews I've looked at say it's a solid gun.

Much appreciated,
Zedhead

Supposedly the best M14 on the market. But I've yet to try one out.

yes they are very good ive handled the G&G m14 its very solid shoots good if your gonna do a DMR get the rail attachment, a 510mm tightbore barrel, a good bucking, spacer and start with an m120 spring and you can upgrade to a high spring later on

Ive heard that the TM M14 isthe best on the market, if you can find one. Then ive heard grest things about the G&G M14 for quite some time, and the CA seems solid.

Pick any of these 3 and im sure youll be happy.

The TM is only the best in the eyes of Marui fanboys... Not worth it IMO unless you plan to upgrade the shizz out of the externals and internals.

I still say CYMA. It's just as good as a TM, so if you spend $140 on it, then you can get upgrades etc.

I agree, because that is exactly what I plan on doing. Plus overall the replica is pretty decent stock.

So, this is what I think that I'm hearing the most.
If I want a M14, I should go with a CYMA, then just upgrade the snot out of it? I like the G&G, but I can't pay for the gun and the watch your language $135 rail for it.
FYI, I'm only a poor college student, so I don't have too much to spend on this. Well, I mean if I want to eat and stuff.

If this is what you guys are saying, then any suggestions of what upgrades I should get?

If it was my choice I'd consider this

Spend $255 (+ battery cost) on the G&G M14, get an outstanding replica
Spend $145 on the CYMA, get a great gun and have $110 extra to get magazines, BBs, gear, upgrades, whatever.

Honestly they are both great choices, but if you want to use this gun a lot then I would get the CYMA, a nice battery, and some mags and gear.

lets put it like this the G&G m14 is G&G
the CYMA m14 is a clone of TM which means it takes a certain gear set made for that brand
G&G and CA will use any gears except those special gears for the TM ok

or do what drummer suggested also you may need i new gearbox for CYMA if you upgrade to stronger spring idk for sure anyone care to elaborate?

and you don't need that RIS rail just keep it plain and simple

You really don't need a new spring. Stock it shoots around 360fps. At least mine did.
Also I believe it comes with a 6.03 tbb, when I took mine out and measured that was the measurement.

Lulz I'm no Marui Fanboy...I've only OWNED one Marui and I'm only Moderately satisfied. But from what I've seen, handeled, and come across in action at my locale field, The TM M14 (And their other AEGs for that matter) Use an unbeatable HOp-Up system that, to my experience, has yet to be surpassed.
Many have come closs, though.
I'm a HUGE KWA Fanboy and I'll admit their Hop-Ups are STILL lacking.

Ok, so, first off, I'll say thanks for all the input. You guys have never let me down when I have asked a question.
So I decided to get the G&G one, are there any upgrades that I should spring for right away, or can I go out with my team and play an adequate field game stock? Also, what's you're suggestion on a battery? Can I go LiPo or is that too much for it to handle?

Much appreciated,
Zedhead

In my not so valuable opinion, it's not good to upgrade right off the bat. Use the gun in games, see how it performs stock, get used to it. Knowing your gun will help you determine what upgrades you need, if any.

For a battery, check out anything from Intellect lol.
