Can I put a 9.6V battery in my G&G GR16 R4... or will it fry it?

Sorry about the poll... I just wanted to know everybody's opinion... so it won't hurt my gun at all?

Yes it should be fine, but it will put more wear on your internals.

Until something snaps Laughing
It really all depends on how often its used and how well its taken care of. I'd give the internals a year and a half to two and a half if used properly

And then what will I have to replace?

Your most likely going to strip a gear or ruin the teeth on your piston. Not a hard fix, just swap 'em out.

You have to open up the gearbox to inspect if there is a problem. Because it is such a general problem, if the gear is stripped or the piston, then nothing will cycle.

As I always like to say, don't open up the gearbox unless you know what you're doing or follow a good tutorial. If you think "Hey, there's another screw, I'll take it out and see if it will open now" then don't do it Razz
