What about a MK23? Also, do the Navy SEALs use a P226 or P228?

Actually they no longer use a mk23... They use mainly the p226.
KJW has a nice p226 (what wertuk linked to you), as well as HFC (although i don't trust hfc, except for their darkhawks...)

trust me, you don't want a mk 23. I have one, they are bulky and annoying. Also there are very few manufacturers. There is y&p (basically kjw) and TM. thats all i can think of at the moment.
Trust me, just forget the mk 23 (also all the versions are Nbb i believe)

PMC - para military company/corporation (i forgot which it was)

Honestly seeing how you are new to airsoft, I would say pursuing a SEAL loadout is not a great way to start.... It's going to tear a nice hole in your wallet and drain all your moneyzzzzzz. Trust me on this.

Ok, I will try not do that loadout NoNeed2Hate. Personally, I think the P226 doesn't look as good as the M1911 and the 6mm trademark looks pretty bad. I think I am going to get the M1911 Tactical because it looks more modern than the WE M1911, I like the black grips, it has adjustable white dot sights, and it has a rail just incase I want to mount something on it.

It all comes down to preference. I like both the 1911 and sig. Also there are many versions of the 1911 WE has to offer. In fact I just picked up a tactical 1911 myself from KJW

Well the topic of "who gets what" in SOF is widely contested...but the fact of the matter is that each unit gets a firearm allowance for just that sort of thing. The weapon they choose to be their "general issue" varies between unit and who happens to be in the unit at the time of the purchase. Army SF "issued" weapons are the M9 and Sig 228 (or was it 226?)...Navy and PJ's like the 226 or MK23 (ok, so they don't like them at all from what I understand). That said, the individual fighter does have the option of using a privately-purchased additional carry weapons that are approved by the unit (thought that is also a "certain units have certain beliefs about that" topic). As a civilian, it's generally projected to me on military forums that they can carry whatever the \"Watch your language\" they want and if higher has a problem, f@#$ em. In-theater, there's really not much you can do from carrying the Makarov he confiscated during a house search or the nice 1911 he traded within the coalition forces.

When you get down to it, the "f@#$ em" approach does seem extremely common...and sidearms are something that they more often then not, turn a blind eye to. You want your servicemember to be confident in his weapon...not just "settle" for his issue firearm.

If a sidearm is what's keeping you from doing your desired loadout, that's just silly.

Well, thank you guys for suggestions, tips, and advice. Spl. Durkee since you posted what you I did I will just get the M1911 since I believe they choose their sidearm too. Hooray for the Navy SEAL loadout and I am trying to decide whether or not the WE M4 is better than the WE HK416 or vice versa. Seal Team Six uses the WE HK416 and I would have to buy rails for a WE M4 unlike the WE HK416.

Yeah if it's a SEAL loadout, then unit-approved PPW's are really common. Most of them HATE the P226 9mm's with a burning passion.
Is the WE M4 you're looking at gas blowback?

Silly Durkee, All WE products are gas blowback. I'd say go with the 416. (seals don't use an m4, they use the mk 18, almost the same though)

I will probably be getting the HK416. The M4, in my opinion, is overused in airsoft and way too common. Also, the M4 doesn't have a rail and it is more expensive.

So the military likes phallus shaped objects...interesting.

Ok back to the WE M1911 Tactical. Would you guys recommend a Airsoft Surgeon Upgrade Combo from evike.com for $29? Link: http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=32277 Or should I just stick with default parts? Also, should I get 0.25 WE Precision 0.25g 'Match Grade' BBs or G&G 0.25g High Grade BBs or should I just shot my 0.25g Bioshot BBs inside and waste them? Finally, should I get 0.25 bbs for the WE M1911 Tactical and a WE HK416 or use a heavier bb in the WE HK416?

Yes, I do and if I don't know exactly how to upgrade the speicific model I can figure it out pretty easily. Is the upgrade kit from Airsoft Surgeon worth it? Also, which is better G&G BBs or WE BBs or should I just shot my 0.25g Bioshot BBs inside? Finally, should I use 0.28g BBs or 0.30g BBs for my WE HK416?
