honor system

being new to airsoft, i am one of those people who has at one point wondered how the honor system works? I mean i know what it is, but do players really call themselves out? And what do you do if they don't?

The honor system that I play is one shot and your out. This can differ among games also. People do call themselves out by saying "hit" or anything related. If you don't there may or may not be a consiquence. Where I play, if you do not call yourself out you are kicked from the game.

but as he said it depeneds on the game type you are playing like me and my friends (back yard)
it would be like this'

pistols-5 shots
AEG's (semi only)-7 shots
sniper rifle shot-1 (but you would have to be at least 50 feet away)

We allow once being hit in the head once or chest three times you have to head to a MASH to heal and wait two to ten minutes before getting back into the game if not healed by a medic on your way to the MASH , and after going to the MASH or being three times you are out , and if you violate these rules , then we use an airsoft firing squad , then suspention , then blacklisting , but that rarely happens

lol if they say they arnt out get up go up to them start argueing and if they still refuse shoot them in the calf and say "Your out now"

In the AFU, if someone is cheating you can call yourself out and walk up to said cheater and call him out too. Your both out of the current game, but afterwards he cheater will be put into probation. 3 Such occurrences and the cheat is expelled from every returning with us.

For the most part all our members and friends are pretty honest though.

Its either you call your hit. or you get to test out the ai tornado on yourself...preferably in your pants

If you don't call yourself out, then you're just subjecting yourself to the full onslaught of every AEG in the game... It HURTS...

If someone doesent call out we find where they live which we usally know and paintball the "Watch your language" out of everything on their property then later that night TP it we state this before each games and NO ONE I mean NO ONE breaks the honor system. after they saw photos of what happened to the last guy that didnt call out.

Yeah if someone cheats, its usually a kick from the game. They tried to make a ban list but it got way to complicated and it just stopped.

yea ppl lets just stick with banning from a game. and a black list is hard to upkeep because no field owner is going to recognize the player after weeks of other members going through. the book would just gather dust.

There is always plan B. . . Hire professionals to kidnap the cheater, take him out of country and leave him/her in the forest naked with only a map and compass.

Nothing can tie it back to an airsofter to give us a bad name, and we all get a laugh, except the cheater. . .

That's evil man. What's even worse is if you knock out the cheater, and he'll wake up in Iraq, with only pants on and a American flag tied around him inside of a box.

Sadly the pics I took were not digital before me and my paintball team (also my airsoft team) paintballed his house we bought a CVS disposable so we could show people. Sorry .25 gram.

i like the honor system and theres not rely any other system to go by except for paint and that does not work in high powered guns like snipers ( any thing over 300-350 fps)

If there are violators of the honor system I choose not to argue the first time but hit them hard on my next encounter, Maybe hold the trigger down on them just a second later.

Well we invented the Firing squad as a realistic and playful punishmentfor minor rule breaking , but the blacklisting threat usually keeps people in their place .

Without the Honor System, AirSoft is nothing more than a bunch of dopes running around Playing Cowboys and Indians.

Cheaters, should be delt with, with the appropriate amount negative comments, getting Physical, or being rude, or threating them with revenge or retalitory action does nothing more than lower yourself to thier level.

If you get a Cheater on the field, talk to him/her first, let them know if the continue to play that way, they are gone, sooner or later the word gets around, and the offending player is left sitting in the corner playing with his 6mm BB´s all alone.

We use the following system here, If a Player is caught Cheating, or suspected of Cheating they get one warning. Since all Players register for events here by Player Name, Real Name and Team Name, it is not hard to keep track of.

If the are Caught a second time Cheating, they are banned from all events for 2 Years, His/her Team is on Probation for 1 Year, if another Team member is Caught Cheating the whole Team is Banned for 2 years.

You can change your Player Name, Team Name, but you still have to use your Real name to Register, and provide proof by registering on Game Day.

The internal Pressure alone is usualy enough to keep players from Cheating, most Players and Teams invest alot of time and effort into building up a good reputation, and nobody wants to see that get destroyed by some Twit.

I have to agree with sticks on this one,
This has to be the most immature way possible to demonstrate that you are a mature and resposible AirSoft Player, never mind the fact that the offending Players Parents are the ones that are going to end up cleaning the mess, all you do is show the rest of the community, AirSoft Players are Vandals.

Slob212 has a very good point though. We have to take the high road, even though it isn't nearly as fun as leaving the cheater naked in the desert.

Sorry if that got a little emotional, but the Cards are already stacked against AirSoft, every little negative thing just makes it worse.

Especailly when some jerk cheats and leads a bunch of immature " airsofters " to do things like listed above , although Satan was probally joking , that still is wrong and gives airsoft a bad name , not to mention yourself a bad , if not just as bad as the cheater's , and I don't know about ya'll but I wouldn't want to play with some one who will paintball an tp my house , reputation s
