| when i play i use a dark color scheme. my spotter uses a light color scheme. i normally ware tigerstrip or marpat camo and he uses tan and acu camo. the argument we have is when transversing multiple terrians is it better to be dark schemed or light schemed.. i would like two know what you guys think.
ps. we are talking about bdu's not ghillie. _________________ Abandon all hope, yea who crosses me

| OK hers the scoop from what ive understood.
the best type of camo for a multi terrain is a medium dark brown(this also goes for seasons too) the reason for this is way past me but from what i understand brown is one of the colors that the human eye seems to pass over and not pay much attention too. Green however is the color that our eye sees the easiest. but as it was explained the darker greens are also passed over most of the time.
from first hand experience what ive found most effective is for a lush green enviorment use a green BDU with a tan Vest or Chest rig. for everything else (winter doesnt have a camo that works well besides white at the short engagements of airsoft) use a tan based BDU with a green vest/chest rig. this way you maximize you color options. whatever you do do not go with black. in nature there is no nautral black. there are many dark browns but no blacks. if you want to blend into the shadows better its best to let nature do its thing.
summary: for late spring(may) to Juneish: green BDU with Tan vest for everything else: tan BDU with Green vest
honestly it would work well if you switched the patterns to the opposite seasons too. the main thing to remember is that no single camo pattern will do you best(from my own experience) but one pattern with same color top will do fine just not as good as switching them(in most cases)
for ghillie's (from what ive herd, i dont wear a ghillie but this method seems to be the most effective). wear a tan ghillie and apply green foliage on top of that.
hope that helps

| Nice response Sticks.
I would say he pretty much nailed that. Black stands out badly... when foilage is out Tan based camo stands out badly. I guess in my opinion green/brown is the way to go. If laying on the ground, as a sniper you probably do quite a bit, green/brown makes since as you will be either in green foilage, dirt or leaves...
Winter, wear hunter orange because you wont easily hide anywhere. _________________ Classic Army MG36 - 2500 rounds of pure fury. Echo 1 Vector Arms AK - 400 FPS JG Bar 10 G-Spec - 520 FPS ICS M4 CQB - 325 FPS (Perfect for close encounters) |
