$200 - ahh so many options.

It really will depend on your preference of styles. Here are some options I'd recommend:
Anything Echo 1!!
Echo 1 614
E1 Mp5
E1 VA AK-47

Classic Army Sportline Series:
CA M15a4
CA Mp5

I'd highly recommend an Echo 1 though. Go to Airsoftgi.com, click the Echo 1 banner on the main page and find one that suits your needs. Almost all of them are under $200 Smile And they'll last you a fairly long time.

*Just fyi, this is considered a "which gun" topic, so I moved it into the "Which Gun?" section.

heads up to everyone airsoftsmith.com started selling the E1 series guns again, they also have alot more Sport line series than anyone else ive seen so far.

a great all round gun is the AK with the folding stock. when the stock is folded it is as small
as an M4 with the stock in (on a LE or Crane stock). but it has the benefited extra barrel length (455mm AK compared to the 365mm of an M4), so you can easily bounce from outdoors to indoor.

the only problem with it is it has a relitively small battery(1500-1800MaH). but if you get 2 of these you will be fine. i run with a 1700MaH and a 1500MaH, and that was fine for two straight days so its no biggy.

9.6 will give you a higher ROF/trigger response, but a 8.4 will last longer. you can usually use a 8.4 up to 400FPS with a stock motor, so with a stock E1 you will be fine. i run an 8.4 in my M4 at 400FPS and it works great for me.

hope that helps

PS: i herd the E1 G36C is great too but ive only had experience with the JG one. i think Roamer has one.

I have the Echo 1 X36C you are looking at. It is pictured on my avatar to the left of this message. I have to say you can't go wrong. I love it and a lot of my friends were impressed with it. I would ask Seabass for his opinion on MY gun as he has seen it himself and is probably going to give you the truth behind this gun as no one else could. He is after all one of the airsoft gods. lol

That being said, I must agree wtih ADMIN in that he suggested the Echo 1 614. It will eat up all of your budget, but you will get 2 barrel length options. If you ask me, that is pretty sweet even if you keep one barrel on the majority of the time. Keeping in mind that FPS is not everything in AEG purchasing, you'll also get a 400+ FPS. I would trust an Echo 1's 400+ FPS rating WAY more than I would trust other companies (ie JG AEGs). Check it out for yourself and give it a good looking at too.

At the end of the day make sure that nobody is telling you what to buy. What I mean by that is make sure that this is a gun that gets you pumped to play airsoft no matter what others think because it will be YOUR gun Smile

Happy shopping!!!

Sticks.13, I know you have mixed emotions about Echo 1's from your awesome article a few weeks ago, but I must say I love the decision for airsoftsmith to start selling Echo 1's. I think they are a great retailer and I hope this brings them more business. You got to support your local shops.... even though that place is hardly local for those of us who recently made a trip up there (inside joke there). lolol Magellen is not so good for directions in Columbus lolol

I will have to say I love Roamers G36. I have a Echo 1 M4 and I love it. They are a ton of parts out there for them, but everyone seems to have one. The G36 would be a great different option. Good luck, and like Roamer said, get what YOU want. Very Happy

This is probably the best advice so far. Sure not all guns are created equal, but except for a few disappointing models of guns out there, go with the one that you think looks the coolest and fits your style of play the best. Like Roamer said, the 614 is definitely worth looking into, as it has a higher fps, two barrel lengths, and a lot of other cool features. But also, the G36 is amazing as well. I've seen Roamer make some pretty awesome shots with it.... and, of course, the gun looks great Smile

From what I've seen, the G36 has little to no wobble or creaks in the frame of it, has a fairly high ROF, good consistency and accuracy, decent amount of stock FPS, highly upgradeable, and is a durable gun. If that's the one you want, go for it!

Like said above, Echo 1 AEG's are great entry level replica's and perform pretty good for the money. If you arent willing to save up the extra money and get a CA, ICS, or TM... that is about your only good choice in my opinion.

Of course, I am sure you have seen my ICS M4 CQB pistol on here in a few different places... it is priced right at $200 depending on what kind of replica you are looking for. It would be compareable to a G36c's accuracy and range since the barrel length isnt much different. BUT it has a ton of nice features that the G36c doenst have... so I would look into that before ordering. Very Happy
