| It almost favors the Barret .50 caliber sniper rifle , I like this gun , but come on wheres the practical use for it . Its a nice gun , but I'll stick with my UTG L-96 anyday , right sticks . | |

I did hear its a great shooter in real life9from a RS sniping bord), but I would say it hit a few ugly branched coming down the tree... you know?

| Yeah I agree , if it wasn't so digital looking maybe if the barrel didn't jut out so much , it would look better . In a way I like it but also in a way its , well , just plain funny looking . | |

| Also ARES are highly substandard in terms of build quality, internals and upgradeability

| This gun was built mostly for looks , nobody will actually use one of these , if they do , and I highly doubt that they do , it will mostly be just for short term use , because like TheJim said , the internals aren't very good . Personally I think that they are a custom gun company that builds so called " wall guns " that will probally never see anything other that an airsofting store , or hobby room in someone's house , just like if you want a motorcycle you buy a Harley or a Honda , but if you want a good looking show bike , go to West Coast Choppers and let Jesse James build you one . Mainly the reason that these guns are built anyway is to catch someone's eye and bring in customers just surfing the web . Most of the time this is the case with everything , Corvettes are in showrooms to attrach lookers who come home with a 2500 instead because AirsoftGi knows that nobody will probally ever buy this gun , they pmly keep one in stock , more than likely and it is just for looks , a kid searches airsoft sniper rifles , sees this gun clicks on the link , notices the price , says oh no way I'm gonna buy this gun , something else catches his eye , ooh an L-96 , and only 160 dollars , 480 fps , I'm gonna buy this instead . You see its all got to do with moving products , and after all all stores do it . | |

| Wow. Looks tight. It's more of a gun that you want to look at and impress your friends with, that is if you ever get it(like the 50 cal. sniper rifle). | |

| I second what TheJim and Alabama said. Looks great, but ARES guns usually end up being "wall-mounts." It's funny that you were talking about this particular gun because I've had it "tabbed" in my browser for about two weeks now - I just like looking at it. I was interested in another ARES sniper a few months ago that I came inches from purchasing until I made a few phone calls and found that the thing (which would cost me about $900 after taxes) was a big waste of money. It leaked gas terribly, wasn't accurate at all, and was rather poorly manufactured. It's sad though, because they make some of the most beautiful sniper rifles. I know some of you say it's ugly.... and it is. But in my opinion some of the ugliest guns are also some of the coolest and most intimidating | |

| Admin I agree with you, it's fun to look at don't get me wrong, it just doesn't look right, I mean look at how the barrel just is out not even touching the stock it's self. Also what is up with the folding stock? I would not use one of these in airsoft because it might look nice to people, and might shoot well but it just doesn't seem like a traditional sniper rifle IMO. | |
