For a little bit more room, put the Mosfet in the Handguards, you end up with a little cabel salad, but you don't go the risk of damaging the mosfet when you change the battery.

An installed Mosfet will protect the switch assembly, usualy installed so that the Switch assembly has a minimum low level charge, the switch assembly is by-passed and the Mosfett becomes the functioning Switch assembly. When the trigger is pulled, the Mosfet gate opens sending electricity directly to the motor. Zero trigger delay.
