they make decent springers but not to good of AEGs. but they might now because so of the low-end companies are trying to make better AEG to compete with big brands like Tokyo Mauri... and do not buy one of there gas pistols....there crap!

I don't mean to be rude but, you didn't really explain why they are bad aegs. I thought the xm8 looked really cool.

TSD is not that good of a company (for any type of airsoft gun). but i have herd that some of the low end companys like TSD are starting to make really nice AEG's. but iwould not be the first one to find out........

I too, agree with Kkoerber, and I wouldn't get one. I have also heard htey are starrting yo make pretty decent AEGs. Keyword: SARTING. I believe they still have ALOT to work on, and I think their internals still aren't too great. think they could have a bright future down the road, but just....Not yet. they've still got a lot to learn.

I woulden't buy any of TSD's older AEG's. I've shot one of their new G36's. It was really nice(better than Echo 1 in my opinion) but it was as loud as a CA. I was really surprised at the quality of the gun, because the only TSD that I had seen before that was one of their AK's, and the stock snapped off. Another kid brought a XM8 waaaay back, like 2 years ago. It broke at the chrono so I didn't really get to handle it. If you want an XM8 style weapon grab a G36 and the XM8 conversion kit.

It might be a little pricey but in the long run you will be thanking yourself.

Heres a link to the on of the Railed versions: http://www.airsoftarms.com/TSD-Tactical-GenII-SR36K-RIS-Tactical-Airsoft-Rifle

And the C length non railed: http://www.airsoftarms.com/TSD-Tactical-GenII-SR36C-Airsoft-Electric-Gun

And finally the normal/long G36: http://www.airsoftarms.com/TSD-Tactical-G36E-Gen-II-Airsoft-Electric-Rifle

If you are spending that kind of money you could also probably afford one of the CA's. A friend has one, the externals are really nice but there are some nasty seams on it.

Link to CA's lineup:

G36: http://www.airsoftsmith.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_37&products_id=373

G36K: http://www.airsoftsmith.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_37&products_id=372

G36C: http://www.airsoftsmith.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_37&products_id=296

For reference the K is comparable to a M4 with the stock extended. The normal G36 is about the size of an M16. the C is pretty small, like MP5(fixed stock) small.

I would grab an external Battery Bag/PEQ to hold a larger battery, the G36 series can only use a small battery(internally) and its a pain in the butt to get it in/out of the hand guard. really the only thing either of the G36's (TSD/CA) need is a good TB barrel. Good luck with the gun! Oh post a review on here, W/pics preferably!

Mt locale shop doesnt carry ANY TSD AEGs for a reason. the guy has owned two seperate stores for thirteen years, and he's seen how far TSD has come, and he STILL doesn't want any piece of it. Like I stated, the internals are not high end, upgrade-ability is minimal, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the warranty isn't too great either. Both of the guns I have had from them, niether one came with a warranty, and I wasn't surprised. Over all, they just don't last that long. Their life-span is short, especially when you put the bigger battery in and start hiking up ROF and velocity with other upgrades.

Thats definitely true with their V1 AEG's but their V2's have completely shocked me. From what I have heard the internals are almost the same as Echo 1, so reliability is not something to worry about(I cannot believe I just said that about echo 1, i need a breather lol).

Every gun out there has its downs, but you just gotta deal with that and people's opinions! im sure given the right circumstances that XM8 is nasty with a decent motor and internals
