If you find yourself laughing or relating to the following comments and suggestions, you could be on the way to becoming or already are an AirSoft Junkie !!!!

You may be an AirSoft Junkie when...


You time yourself to disassemble and reassemble your GearBox.

When you can diagnose an issue just by listening to the gearbox.

When you grease your gearbox more than you actually play airsoft.

You count every second when a AEG maker releases a new gun.

You can shim a gun in less than 3 minutes.

You almost die of a heart attack from excitement when a new gun comes in the door.

You stalk the UPS man for your parts and get angry when hes late.

When you use the box as a trophy on your wall.

You want to go to Japan just to look at airsoft.

You try to learn Japanese just to read the Marui magazine that comes with the gun.

When "premature release" has nothing to do with sex.

You go to sleep at night, thinking about the new upgrades you want.

You wake up the next morning thinking about the new AEG you want.

when you are happy when your replica breaks, so you can upgrade and repair it.

you worry more about anti airsoft legislation than fire arms legislation

You can fill the back of a small truck with airsoft replicas when going to a skirmish.

You have 15+ different camouflage uniforms

you have 12 different types of LBE/vest to take care of any possible load out.

your gear makes a National Guardsman envious

Some one says version and your next thought is GearBox.

Your upgrades cost as much or more than the replica costs in the first place

you understand acronyms such as AEG, LPEG, MPEG, fps, MOFSET

You can spend more than 5 minutes talking about the physics of BB velocity
you understand the conversation above in perfect clarity and can add to it
you think this is normal and can not understand why someone else does not.

You want! to carry the big gun.

you own 15 cheap wall chargers in the museum under the bed

you have a peg board to display your collection.

You have a folder of favorites marked airsoft, this is subdivided into, retailers, retailers I use, organizations, forums, reference mechanical, reference field and tactics. Which was necessary to bring some order to the chaos of having 1500 "favorite" airsoft sites on your computer

you spend as much time on the web looking at airsoft as you do on the field

when your team goes out to eat after a game day in a public restaurant, and someone else pays for your meal and doesn't even tell you, because they thought you were part of the armed forces.

You tell your family and Friends that you are going to a Game on the weekend that is `` Just around the Corner ´´ but for you `` Just around the Corner means Driving 400 Miles for a really good game.

When you disassemble your GB, a Little part goes flying off, you spend the next half hour on your hands and knees with a Flashlight looking for it, can´t find it, grab the vacuum cleaner, vacuum the whole room, then remove the vacuum bag, cut it open and go through all the dust and dirt trying to find the missing Part.

When after a weekend of Gaming you suspect you may have Liver Damage, even though you never set foot in a Bar the whole weekend.

LMAO!!! i can relate to nearly all of those that was a good one im am definitely an AS junkie! and i have done the GB part but it was for a mag release spring

You might be an airsoft junkie if you,

1: you family, friends, GF/wife all know what an AEG is

2: when they stop themselves when they say "Clip" and replace it with Mag

3 when they can explain the idea behind MilSim to newer friends or neighbors...

4: when your parents/wife tell the extended family not to get gift cards to Target or Walmart because you cannot use it at a Surplus store.

5: when you tell your GF that you cannot hang out because one of your friends is dying, in actuality you are heading to a really big airsoft game.

6: when you quit your job because they wouldn't give you time off for an airsoft game.

7: when your wife/GF schedules doctor/dentist appointments around airsoft games/events.

8: when the UPS guys knows you fist, and last name as well as the middle initial.

9: when you convince the UPS guy that he should play airsoft, after he explained his love for SOCOM US navy seals on PS2(yes it happened, he now lives in another state and still plays).

The one about the UPS delivery man is the best, I managed to get My mail man in on the Game, showed him what was in all the Packages marked HANDEL WITH CARE !!!

I can relate to almost everything, I bright my gf (soon to be wife we get married in 6 months!!!), to the airsoft tournaments i go to and she plays for the most part, even though she is not good at it. I never tried to get the mailman involved, but that is a good idea i will ask my mailman.

i should;d try to get my mail man to airsoft...but then again i don't know him....

You might be an airsoft junkie if:

whenever you go into a new area, anywhere, you think about the tactical advantages of that particular position, and where the best sniper hide would be.

I have started to experience that every day now!

^ the above keeps me from sleeping in science class(my only class with windows).

Also the UPS guy was when I did an internship at airsoftsmith.It was still really funny though.

The night before an event, you sleep on the ground cause your guns are on the bed.

The Fedex guy knows you name.

You find bb’s in your shoes.

You spend at least 4 hours a day on airsoft forums.

If you call coke cans chronographs. (too true)

If you have ever debated whether catching a bb in your mouth counts as a hit. (long story)

You are unable to read this because you or your friend shot your monitor.

If you laugh when reading this, because its true.

If right now there are bb's in your pockets.

When you dream about airsoft.

When your afraid of open spaces and are always on the lookout for snipers.

You're always spotting places to dive into if you come under fire.

1, you won tickets to the super bowl/national championship and sold them to get new mags for your AEG.

2, you have a real Corpsman/medic on hand JIC you go to an event with medic rules.

3, you walk out of a movie angrily when someone calls a Mag a "clip", and your date knows exactly why!

4, you learned most of the Military alphabet and start using them in daily life.... Oh shi.... I'm Oscar Mike in 2 mins!

5, you know the location of ever airsoft store from your location to the events JIC you need more than 10,000 BB's.

6, you ask your parents/spouse to get you a box of MRE's for your B-day because you get tired of walking into the local airsoft store and not spending money on your gun.

7, your parents/spouse comply with number 6...

8, you know RS action because you have an airsoft version, you have never even seen the RS version.

9, you wow the local guys at the range when you place shots better than they do on a moving target sim, and you have never shot a real gun before!

I know Im an airsoft junkie because...

It helped me explain the science behind velocity and units of speed to my classmates before a science test because that is all that I do every night anyway.

I spend more time on the computer considering gun and gear upgrades then I would probably ever even play.

I consider purchases every night for my gun

I take my friends to the airsplat youtube channel to show them a couple of smoken hotties. JK JK.

OH AND if all the above is true go see a doctor for you may have ALS(Airsoft Love Syndrom)
there is no known cure(exept getting hit so hard that you are all red. and the only way to control it is by extreme airsoft for a month or more a year

haha nice i havnt been on in a while though and havnt played airsoft in a while :/

I relate to all except the stuff about gearboxes because i've only had 2 AEGs and they were both low quality/ UK arms and crosman/ the crosman just broke, so maybe an E1 next?
