| We are getting into the warm weather again and dehydration is a huge factor in game play and no one should take it lightly. A couple of summers ago I was playing at RPC in New Hampshire. It was a very hot day and we were about 4 games into the day when I volunteered as squad medic. You have to actually get to men down and touch them to respawn. Well I was very busy running around, actually laid down my M4 and went with my H&K p8 to assist my team mates. Back then I used a balaclava as protection. After 30 minutes of running and saving my teammates I started to get light headed. I thought I was going down. As soon as I could get to cover I buried my head for protection while I ripped my goggles and ballaclava off. My mate said my face was beet red and I had now stopped sweating. My water in the camelback was bathwater warm but I sucked about 8 ounces of it down. Fortunatly the fight was over soon and when I got back into te break area a guy on the other team was allready to pass out and started vomiting. We cooled him off with cooler water and gave my extra gatorade. Luckily he was allright. I had the dreaded headache. Guys and gals, hydrating starts the day before your game. If you are playing Saturday games,Friday you should be drinking as much water as you can possibly stand and no coffee or soda as they act as a diaretic. | |

| I bring water bottles and gatorades with me into the OP and when ever we have a chance to rest I always grab something to drink. I just shove them into my pants pockets and just a warning if you plan on doing that wear a belt.... | |

| Yes I suggest carrying around a least one bottle of water when your playing or even better a Camelback. You snipers with ghillie suits (like me) thas goes double for you. | |

| I have a homemade hydration rig made from a water bottle and some aquarium tubing. This works for me, plus if the bottle breaks I grab another one from my bag and switch the lids. The bottle just sits in my backpack with the tube ran through the strap. | |

| well the hyfration pack in a Camelback is soft and not going to break(possiblely cut but...) The only problem with them though is that they're expensive but I don't complain seeing as I get most my military gear for free. | |

| The basic rule one liter for every hour Especialy for you and me jack. I have passed out in a ghillie before it sucks. Also for those of you with AEGs today we had a game it went to 91 here in good ol PA. My one Dm and my sqaud leader Don't use the Lord's name in vain. both had there M16s overheat so they sat em out of the game. It was so bad that GODs m16's gearbox is trashed. Keep to bursts at the most. | |

| A lot of the local fields by me are actually requiring that you have 2 water bottles/canteens or a hydration pack. | |

| back when i was in boy scouts, when we'd go on hikes and the such, we always had to stop and drink a canteen while the patrol leader watched. if you didn't empty your bottle, the patrol leader would hit you with a meter stick. don't know why he carried a meter stick, but... and since he didn't like me, i usually got smacked a couple times. moral of the story: drink your water, lest you be beaten by your team lead. | |

| ok well your not supposed to empty your bottle in one stop. But you are supposed to drink about 8 oz every 30 minutes. Which is just a glass. One disadvantage about camelbacks, you can't tell how much water your drinking per hour. You could be drinking too much, or you could be drinking very little. In fact about 8 seconds of sipping from the camelback is about a cup worth of water. | |

| I bought a camel pack, but man they are expensive... Oh and yes you do need to wear a belt... One time (before I got my camel pack) I had a bottle of Gatorade (Offical Drink of the Gators!) and my pants fell down, yes, it does hurt, especially QCB.
And you can never drink enough water! (Unless you choke yourself!) | |

| If you do paint it just make sure you use a non-reflective spray paint like KRYLON. I find that this brand works the best for me you could also use Rustoleum but thats cheap spray paint. Trust me ive used it on my car and it takes forever to get a good coat down. | |
