What do you think about....

For bolt action sniper rifles I've seen setups where you have to load a single BB into a shell or casing then load these into the rifle which can only fit a few of these. It's supposedly design this way to make it look realistic ,but I want to know what you think. Is this (other than for looking realistic) a complete waste of time for serious airsofting like I do?

it would be a cool collector but not for a battle because you might lose the shells or damage them

Yeah, and those types of guns eject the shells, meaning you have to stop and collect them before you can move on. I personally don't want to look for shells while in battle.

And it isn't like they improve the rifle or anything, so they are just for show or movie props

My problem is that they'd be such a pain to reload during a airsoft battle. even if your snipeing away from the battle it's still to hectic to be useful

My problem is that it is the asshi m40 which would be a dream gun for me but the price tag to much.

Yea well if you know the story behind it, then you know why it was discontinued.

I know someone that got a gun like this. It was pretty cool just the shells were a pain if you didnt have a shell catcher net.

Not only would it be a pain to load in battle it would be really annoying to have to find all of the shell caseings and if you lost the shells your probably screwed.
