| well let me explain more
a while back we got started with airsoft. We were very happy with the cheap guns and such, till my 2IC got the cyma mp5 it broke within 3 weeks, and so I decided that I wanted to rebuild it using parts from other guns so it will be "Better" than the rest and be able to run for a while. and So that got me to here
and is it possible to interchange parts for the same model (MP5) but differing companys

| Ok so what exactly is wrong with it? **what does the gun do when you pull the trigger** (describe sounds, vibration, and if it shoots)
You can 'rebuild' this gun with other parts from the same gun (that is MP5). V2 mechbox...ect..ect. Only thing to look out for are high end names like CA, and KWA. Their hop up and airnozzle systems are proprietary meaning they will not work with a TM cloner like CYMA. TM parts and JG parts will suffice.
As for when you describe whats wrong, maybe we can help you find the right parts you want to use to make the gun 'better than the rest'. Also, what are you looking to make better anyways, ROF, Accuracy, or just power?

| It is possible to Re. Build a gun using parts from other Companies, tho not reccomended unless you really know what you are doing.
Due to different tolerances and production methods, not all parts are interchangeable. Some tips, Do Not Mix Gears !!! Use one complete set, there are instances where you can mix and shoud interchange gears from other companies, these are the exception to the rule and only for certain gun set-up.
ICS Parts, only work with ICS !!! don´t attempt to start mixing thier parts, Leads to Migranes !!
Systema Triggers, Use only with Systema Switch assembly´s ( Unless you know how to modify them for all other switch assemblies.
Avoid mixing High content ALU Gears with an Iron pinion gear, and vica versa, you will destroy the Bevel or Pinion Gear.
Try to keep each major component the same Company, i.e., Cylinder, Cylinder Head, Piston Head, Tappet plate all Echo 1, Gears all JG, and so on.....
Emergency repairs can be made to get you through a Gaming weekend, just don´t expect them to hold up for long periods of time.
After you get your Re-Build done, run a few Magazines through the gun, Tear down the GB and check for abnormal wear and tear, will save you some frustration later.
Good luck, and have fun!

| here is what I saw/heard when I got to him
firing;none vibrations;none any sounds; now what might be is this... after checking the battery I descovered that one of the wires might have been damaged but I think it is unlikely because I can see that it continues on, the casing is part way torn in a very small area, I might need to show pics. any ideas

| Thats just where the wire got pinched by the gun body during re-assembly. As long as it hasn't torn the wire inside the insulation, you should be fine, put electrical tape over it.
Sounds like it is electrical though, has your friend tired to do any work on this gun before?

| Fuse should be located in the front grip if you are using a MP5-J or A5. Or it will be in the full stock. Just follow the wire from the battery, it should not be too far from the battery, most fuse are less than a few inches from the battery and are exposed once you take the hand guard or stock plate off.
As for what kind, you need a 25 mW and you can find it at radioshack or fry's
