Their close to my house so I like to buy my stuff there. It has go far range, with high fps. Any good ideas? thanks guys | |

| I would say the A&K SR-25 I want one myself or you could get an M14 and put a scope mount and scope on it. Then later down the road you could upgrade it if you need to. | |

| First problem with your post... you should try to stay away from a full auto sniper, reason being that technically makes you a rifleman not a sniper. To be a sniper you use stealth... and from my experience, full auto isn't very stealthy. I would go with something like the SPR as mentioned. Easy to mod, cheap, etc... all the things that make it a good choice. The other problem with your post is... in stock form your gun is going to shoot about the same as every other stock AEG on the market, so really its up to you and your bank account to make it have more range and fps. It isn't real difficult to reach 450 fps with an AEG, however it is difficult to have a reliable 450 fps AEG. Not saying it can't be done, because I have an Echo 1 AK that had JUST a tightbore barrel in it and on the STOCK spring it was chronoed at 437 fps. I then realized why it wasn't accurate with .20 bb's Your best route to getting a gun up to that level is: Tightbore barrel, torque gears, torque motor, spring guide, cylinder head, good shim job on gears, and a heavier spring depending on fps desired. Problem is, that isn't cheap to do. A good torque motor costs roughly $80 and the gears are right up there as well. It costs a lot to build up a semi auto sniper, and they are also hard to maintain due to the added wear and tear on the mechbox from spring tension. I don't want to discourage you, just want you to know what you may be getting into if you want to get an AEG sniper and build it up. | |

| well think is though is that im a little tired of bolt action. They get annoying once in a while. I aready have a bolt action UTG M324, but there isn't any (that i've found) upgrades for the 3rd generation | |

| If you want a serious Semi auto sniper I say get the G&G or CA SR-25 (G&G IMO) or TM PSG-1. If you don't want to spend that much you can always get the A&K Version or like Tank said a DBoys or A&K SPR. | |

| I understand wanting to change it up... Obviously you prefer to play as a sniper, so a DMR role would most likely be good for you. If I had to build a, semi auto only, 400+ fps DMR up on a budget here is the route I would take: Guns: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_164&products_id=3437http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_211&products_id=3601http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_203&products_id=2355Mods: Spring guide, m130-m140 spring (stock motor might have difficulty with an m140), reinforced piston, piston head, cylinder head, and a 9.6v battery... bigger the mah value the better because you will be going through it fast. I would also look into a tightbore barrel as it would improve accuracy and also add some FPS (I would stick to stock length as all of these have long enough inner barrels anyways). Honestly, I would plan on getting a magnum motor and torque up gears (helical) but you could probably still push an m130 with the stock motor and get about 430fps out of the gun. It wont be very snappy with the stock motor... but it would probably work. With that being said, it would only be a matter of time before you would have some issues here and there with the gun. Once you start modifying them for 400+ fps there are alot more reliability factors that come into play. I guess I am saying you will get very good at taking apart a mechbox. | |

| I was going to get one of the lower quality guns and upgrade it but decided against it. Its cheaper and in the long run a better idea IMHO to spend a little more and buy a good higher end AEG in the beginning. | |

| You could also do something like this and also have a good AEG sniper setup: [img] [/img] Obviously with a scope instead of a red dot and the bipod isn't on the gun in that pic, but you get the idea. All you need for that is a G36 and a g36c rail (the pic also has a G&P sniper stock). I would still do all the mods listed above though. | |

| I have come to the conclusion that with every gun I buy... I always end up changing out every internal part anyways, so really I am just buying the exterior... so in most cases a cheaper replica really isn't going to be a lot different than an expensive one for me, because in the end they will both have the same internals. As long as the exterior is pretty solid and looks of higher quality it doesnt really matter much. My Echo 1 AK shoots just as good as my CA36... doesnt have the rate of fire, but the accuracy isn't too far off. My ICS is a little more accurate than both, but thats just because it rocks. My BAR 10 is awesome... I guess I don't really think there is a HUGE difference once you start modifying them. | |

| Yeah thats true. I just like having the other Gearbox just in case something breaks you can swap it out with quality parts and of course the metal body. | |
