| One BIG problem with your idea... If you plan on using this replica at events (milsim/even some rec), you will run into a lot of problems with them not accepting a G36k as an MG36 even if you have a bipod and drum mag. To meet the requirements and not get hassled about it... you have to build on a full length G36 with a bipod, drum mag, and it has to have the 3x sight / carry handle. You also should leave the outer barrel alone because they will get on you if it isn't the full length. It is also a lot cheaper to just go with the full length model because of all this... it comes with everything other than the drum mag. I know because this is mine: [img] [/img] Sorry in the pic I had the barrel shortened... I was messing around with some things when I took the photo. I actually don't have a photo saved with the full length and all the other pieces... Mine started out as a CA36c, so it has had all kinds of things added to fit the description of an MG36. This did cost a lot of money to convert it, but I didnt have a support gun at the time... seemed like a good idea right? Only other thing I would mention is that the G36 drum mag is pretty slow at keeping up with the gun... ATLEAST it is with my gun (I am running a Systema turbo and high speed gears on a 9.6v, which produces about 28 BB's/sec ROF). I am actually working on making a faster mag out of the drum mag shell. I just need access to a machine shop to do so. I already built a prototype that could spit out about 30 a second... so I am very close to having the fastest loader on a support gun. But thats another story... | |

| No boxmag! If you have a scope it defeats the purpose of a boxmag. It is a nice gun though. If you want to do it the best way possible you could build it off of the CA G36 then get a scope handle. Or a KWA but those are all going to cost you more then that JG. | |

| The one I got the JG has the long barrel. Its not a huge deal to me if people don't think its not an MG36 i'll know its an MG36 thats all that matters to me. What about the drum mag is that a good mag? | |

| If you go to any fields and have a boxmag your generally regarded as a noob. Its also not very realistic. | |

| Thats fine we only go to a field once a year for a couple of days. We mostly play backyard stuff and just kind of fool around while being very serious about the game. But for when we go to a field I could always still use my M16. | |
