| Hey guys I'm from Chicago and i' m just starting out with airsoft gun not too long ago and i want to know what's a good sniper rifle I can get with $160. Anyway i have 3 choices in my mind and they are the
JG Bar-10 UTG L-96 WELL MB05
Im really a newb at this. I want to get a good sniping gun and I do plan on upgrading it in the the future, but sadly I have no clues how. If someone can help me get started on learning it'd be great.
Anyway I would of choose the Bar-10 but i really like the design of the L96 especially the MB05 one but I heard WELL is not a good company so I don't know. What do you guys think?

| Coming from a Bar 10 user, I would have to recommend it especially if you want to modify it in the future. Here is a parts list of things just for the gun: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/parts_vsr10.htmAs you can see, there are all kinds of parts... even more than that list. I am sure the other two are good as well... but as far as upgradeability the Bar is hard to beat. In stock form the UTG L96 will probably have more FPS than the Bar though... so it really depends on what you are going to do with it. | |

| Yeah but the thing is I have no experience on upgrading and im afraid I might break it or screw something up if i try. Wow your Bar 10 is 550 fps!! O.O how much did the whole thing cost you? | |

| BAR-10! Its a VSR clone so it takes upgrades better then the UTG will. | |

| sounds good but i like the look of the L96 better although im willing to upgrade it but im not rich so maybe i can just afford 1-3 upgrades. So is the bar-10 still better?
and really if someone can link me a guide to upgrading and what parts to get itd be great

| In my opinion yes. I had a UTG L96 and it was good but the FPS drops after about 500 shots to about 390-400 FPS. It also becomes pretty inaccurate. The BAR-10 is much more accurate and has more range then the UTG. | |

| The BAR-10 is a good sniper with a lot of upgradablity like Seabass listed and as you can see theres a lot of upgrades. I would go with the BAR-10 over the UTG L96 mainly becuase everybody has a L96 there also to bulky for my likeing. | |

| Ok so i just did a little research ont he bar 10 and a popular mod for it is the airbreak mod
They say it increase the fps by 100 or so but makes it louder. the question is will the gun break down faster with this mod? is the mod worth it?

| The mod is good but when you get the gun and see how quiet it is you wont want to do that. You can always add the FPS by upgrading it the usual way. | |

| Yeah, all depends on your "income" do it your own way, if your a good shot don't worry about it being louder | |
