| I'm not so new or veteran to Airsoft, but we've all probably been in an exciting or terrifying situation in Airsoft. BBs fly past your face, the other team knows where you are, your sweaty palms tightly grip your gun as beads of sweat slide down your face.
You don't want to lose. Not my main idea, but how do you cope with the adrenaline? It gets to me really fast, and I hate losing.

| Adrenaline is both your friend and enemy in airsoft and real-steel combat. At times, it is vital to staying in the game. Situation where high adrenaline levels are wanted:High movement, short range strikes. CQB (Generally speaking) Simulated retreats/breaks High energy movementsSituations where high adrenaline levels are undesireable:Marksmanship (High adrenaline = high heart rate, movement) Stalking (Silence and slow movement are vital) "Bait and Wait" situations Any situation requiring patience. If you find yourself in a situation stated under "Situations where high adrenaline levels are undesireable", you may want to suppress your heart rate and edrenaline release with the following techniques: Step One:Deep BreathingTake long, deep breaths. Keeping your eyes open for situational awareness. Step 2"Zen" MotiveTell yourself to calm down. If you make calmness imparitive, your body will listen. Step 4Keep FocusedKeep the game plan in mind at all times. Know what you need to be doing. Being educated and prepared will cut down on the need for adrenaline release. As a marksman, these skills are needed. As a rifleman, these skills are necessary. As a support gunner, no need for skill, just spray and pray | |

| Now, I'm no veteran myself, but there's been a couple times where I'm trapped, surrounded, basically just in a high stress situation, and my adrenaline peaks, causing vision to be fuzzy, my heart to race etc. So, here's the 2 ways I deal with it.
1: I repeat a poem, tongue twister or a line from a song over and over in my head.
2: I take a deep breath, count to 5, and think of the ocean or something like that. It sounds ridiculous, but it works. For me at least.

| Go take a yoga class...seriously, allows you to control breathing and increases flexibility so you don't get injured as badly...cept I don't think id ever go to one. | |

| I love adrenaline, it makes me very happy, haha. I always cope with adrenaline by running around and "shooting shitt", haha. That, and screaming "OOHRAH" and "SEMPER FI, DO OR DIE" a lot. | |

What other way is there to deal with adrenaline than expending it all?

| For me the adrenaline is a major attraction to the game itself...I am normally a very stoic, reserved and calm guy anywhere else but school(Im a crazy bastard at school)...for me I can't wait to get that Rush but I don't do stupid stuff I get better and faster....the second I get behind my scope the adrenaline starts pumpin! I know that the longer i hide in waiting and the closer my target gets the better the "High" will be....I also gets this from car crashes that frequently happen with me and my friends who are all getting their licenses now.. | |
