| If you are using green gas, the answer is no. If you are using straight propane, yes. It is not vital to operation of the pistol to lube the internals of the magazing but it can increase performance insubstantially. Green gas is a self lubricating airosol. No need for any extra applications of silicone. | |

| Actually your wrong 'Assault Pwner'. Yes you need to lube you aeg magazines, especially if they are winding high caps. You can take them apart by removing screws and sliding the internals out. Lube the gears and anything that looks like it can be worn by frequent use. don't use too much oil or you'll clog it. For mid and low caps, apply light oil and fire a full mag to clear exces grease

| Yes, Durkee is correct. Especially if the magazine is constructed out of a really rugged steel, like for instance....the Thompson mags A little lube wil keep the BBs feeding smoothly. | |

| No no no not by any means. Some mags you probably don't even have to oil, I just did because my Thompson mags were jamming; and it worked. But even then I didn't even have to take them apart, I just used one of those cleaning rods that come with some AEGs and lubed it as if it were the barrel of a gun. You can take it apart if you wish for an even better lubbing, but by no means is it neccesary to take it apart just to lube it....or even lube it in the first place. It's just a good thing to do. | |
