I have heard a couple of people say it is a good investment to buy a pinion gear with your systema motor because eventually you will tear through it. Does anybody have an opinion on this of their own. I would think the pinion gear that comes with the motor being a systema would be of a high enough quality that this wouldn't be an issue until way down the road. Even with a systema turbo.

K well i dont need a pinion for my EG1000 and this is all i found. ive never used it however ive seen it put into many a gun. i would say this is your best bet for a pinion gear. http://www.airsoftsmith.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=39_47&products_id=440

Don't need one, I have just heard that it blows out. Wondering if anybody heard the same. I might add this to the growing list of future internal upgrades set to start this summer inside of my new toy.

the only time you will break you pinion gear along with your bevel gear is when you have shimmed your gears incorrectly. When the gears are too tight to move the resulting effect would be.... stripped gear teeth, even possibly stripping the teeth on your piston.

Due to the enourmous amount of impact energy the Magnum, and High speed motor deliever when you pull the trigger, the standard Pinion Gear won´t last long, even when you have done the shimming correctly. The standard Pinion gear is just to soft. Depending on the level of tuning, it is really just a matter of time before the standard pinion gear splits. The 20$ investment will save you aggravation later.
