| Thats all GI can say is "affordable, and it's still not that affordable...for $850, you STILL need to question what you're getting. While it IS officially licened by Barret, It uses a version 2 gearbox, so you're basically paying $850 for an M16 in a huge heavy body thats hard to carry. And a MadBull TBB? come on if I'm paying $850 I want better than that. Nothing against Mad Bull I love them, but not for $850 no sir. Thats three other AEG you could buy, but instead of buying three M16s you're buying ONE in a huge heavy frame. I just don't think it's really worth it IMHO. | |

| I agree. I seriously doubt the practicality in that. 37 pounds, 5 feet long, for what? A good looking M16, basically. For $850, I could make one heck of a sniper rifle. This is just a collectors Item. | |

| Why would you want a Barret M82 anyway? they are extremely bulky, and have just mediocre performance. | |

| Yeah but just tuning it up, would cost more money. I mean seriously.
850 dollars, for a sniper rifle? THAT DOESN"T EVEN SHOOT FAST. 360-380 fps? Come on man, if the fps is going to be that low might as well tune it down to at least 400 dollars.
And by the looks of that thing, its long and bulky, looks like it'll need three people to aim with the gun, and two to load the magazine.
And this might be either a con or a pro, but no scope included! so your paying: 850 dollars + 50+ dollars = 900 for an airsoft gun, plus tax. Duhh = 909$ dollars, plus shipping. ummmmm = 920$ lets say.
Yeah, really not worth it in my opinon, would be cool to own, but seriously. That kind of money is not worth it. I can buy a systema with that money.

| But you still have to keep in mind that the Hurricain M16 conversion kit is $2,000 by buying this your saving your self $1,115. Agreed with everybody that its impracticle and pretty much just a nice piece of wall art its still an M82. I would never buy one even if I had the money its just to heavy and to long to play with (HAHA thats what she said!). Anyway useless but it would be a nice piece to any collection. | |

| I find the Idea of the airsoft M82 completely impractical
For $850 I can tune a SR 25 to just rape the field...complete with NV/IR scope.

| yeah, have to be honest, if you're playing MilSim and you're rocking Geneva, can't shoot someone with it. in real-steel, the M82 is only used to shoot out engine blocks, and how the "Watch your language" are you going to shoot out an engine block with a .2 gram plastic bb? | |

| I think it would be cool to use as a firing prop. Kinda like where a *insert random Army's name here* Sniper team as been eliminated and you need to recover their gear. But when you get over there you need to stop a convoy of BMP's etc etc. Its not practical as a normal sniper rifle, no, but it could be one "Watch your language" of a firing prop.

| That is true, come to think of it, the type of people I see buying this gun, would be a hollywood producer, it'd make a great prop come to think of it. | |
