ok my holosight has just randomly stopped working. My friends say its the batteries which it may be but can they just die? (hasn't been used in 2 weeks)

if you left the battery in the scope, it definetly died. If you leave batterys in scopes, they suck the battery off. Get a new one

well what kind of batteris does it use? like AAA's or the small flack disk-like watch/camera battery?

um it uses l944 alkaline buton cells uses 4 of those

If its an acual problem and your holosight is broken thats one hellofa kick in the nuts. Unless you bought the cheapo 100 dollar one and not the 800 one. If you bought the 100 dollar one don't be surprised if its a broken sight. However the batteries shouldnt be to to expensive so its worth a try.
