| Both practically the same internally. However the M4 is wired to a front mounted PEQ, and the M16 is wired to the stock. | |

| depends on what kwa m4 model you get. the ris one you need a peq unit on the front. and the m4 with the regular handgaurds the battery would just go in those. Also The battery compartments on both of them are very easy to get to (friend has a kwa m16, rewired the wires to the front because we put a magpul pts moe stock on it and got a ris and smacked it on there). sorry went off topic there but as Lone wolf said they are internally the same. | |

| i personally like the m16 for the longer inner barrel = range and accuracy. | |

Not true, they have the exact same performance. Airsoft is nothing like a real gun, a longer barrel is actually a negative thing when you are going for range. There are no expanding gases behind the bb as there is to bullet. For accuracy, bb weight and the bore of the barrel come to play. A longer barrel will be more accurate than a shorter barrel though.

| i guarantee that a longer barrel will make a difference in range. ya there are no gasses to push the bb but the longer barrel will help and keep the bb straighter and can help it go farther. on a shorter barrel weapon the bb will not be kept as streight for as long of time so the bb has more non barrel time to drop... i don't know if you see what im trying to get at..... I coppied this next section directly from Evike.
Evike.com Airsoft Tight Bore Inner Barrels 101 Why would you want tight bore barrels? - Generally, the longer your barrel is, the higher the accuracy and range. - Better "Grouping" (How far apart the bb traveling paths are due to deviations and other factors). - After modifying your rifle, your inner barrel might not be "to the tip" of your muzzle, so you'll want a longer inner barrel.
so it does effect the range... evike says so

| Yea but evike also says the WELL R8 is internally "Reliable and Strong" and "Aluminum and Steel" for specifications. Let me rephrase what I said. The reason a longer barrel will not greatly affect range is because there are no expanding gasses behind the round such as a real gun. HOWEVER longer barrels do make for tighter groupings at a further range than the shorter barrel, but the same range if not shorter depending on the tightness of the spring, hop up, air tightness, and the weight of the bb. I replaced the TBB on my G36C with a 363mm and had to cut it to 350 so the silencer would conceal the extended barrel. I noticed a great improvement in groupings but slightly less power due to friction. As for range, anything longer would call for a tighter spring to keep up. | |
