| Okay when i "airsoft" all i wear is a black vest, Woodland bdu's, boot's, and a booonie hat. But the other day i was playing and i guess a guy maybe in his thirty's who had never been in the military dressed like G.I. Joe. Like i understand proper protection but c'mon don't take it too a extreme. Like i almost died of laughter. Your a grown man and if you you didn't attempt to join the military(not saying if your a man join the military just don't dress you like you did). | |

| Well me for one, would take it to being as real as I can make it, when I am fully outfitted, I'm going to be a having a woodland bdu, some vest of some kind, helmet, balaclava, helm cover, goggles, nice lookin m4, gloves, I doubt much knee pads, but if this guy plays alot, considering he might also play in milsim games, I wouldnt laugh at him because he likes making it seem real. | |

| I dress like GI joe! I found that the more I started playing, the more I needed too carry on the field... Now instead of having too find someone with a Multitool, or some E-Tape I just carry my own. Same goes for food, extra water, snacks/smokes for the role players, first aid stuff, advanced medical stuff, pretty much anything I would need... Did you ever think about that? sticks | |

| sun flower seeds, bro. they're great for you (in moderation, of course), and you can put a whole bunch in your mouth at one time. only two problems, are that it is a choking hazard, and the salt will make you thirsty. i chew them all time; in fact, i go through about a bag or two a week. | |

| on my team uniform for snipers and riflemen and dM, directed marksmen, is jungle camo bdus, a vest and a helmet { thats the simple stuff} but im just getting a molle vest and pouches for christmas and am going to buy the mitch after. And like sniper-32 said, i also love to eat and will need to get a pouch fo that on my molle, but unlike you food doesnt make me skinny, i guess eating a hotdog a day all summer didnt do to much good for me, ehh P.S. in my molle hydration pack when i get it, ima gonna put hi-c in it!!! and mgunner, the beef jerky is a great idea, when ur just sitting there waiting its just something to do, yum yum yum, im definatley getting some of that for my nap-sack

ya see, in pa we don't have to many airsofters due to skirmish paintball, the biggest paintball place in the US, about 2 hours north of us, so what im trying to do, along with my team isto get into that mil-sim type of player to help attract other players to show them that airsoft isn't just little plinking games and it can get more serious than paintball. Yes at the current time we are just playing smaller games, but these are just to expose the game to others.

| Being a short game shouldn't matter, he was just more prepared than your average air-softer. If he needed something, he had it, and he was prepared for all possibilities. And for all you know, maybe he was going to a different game after this one, and he needed all his equipment for it?
You never know another person's story, so I wouldn't laugh at others just because they take things seriously.

You never know another person's story, so I wouldn't laugh at others just because they take things seriously. excellent point. it's better to be prepared than not to be. i was talking to my grandad about Glock pistols, and when i told him they usually go for $700-$800, he was turned away from them. i said "wouldn't you rather spend $800 on a gun you'll never need to use than not have a gun when you need it?" but i digress. the reason for the food is to keep up energy, warrior! i prefer foods that are high in carbs for the energy, spicy peppers to keep awake (though slob's suggestion works well, too), water because it has been man's preferred drink since the beginning of time, and so on and so on.

| We have a very strict uniform which jarhead introduced partialy
Woodland BDUs pants and jacket headgear a MICH helmet a baseball cap and any other head gear aproved by me some form of way to hold ur mags ie LBV Molle ALICE black brown or OD boots That and your gear can be any color but it all has to match for example I have black gloves black MICH black chest rig black drop leg black molle thigh rig. Gunners wear veitnam tigerstripe BDUs and DMs wear MARPAT so they can be easily identified Also jarhead is right when you see a bunch of this fully dressed guys playing an epic game you tend to wanna join in.
5 players this year have taken up the sport or have stopped plinking to play for real. All because they read my live motto heard about us or saw us. Hoping to double it next year. Its like being dressed for a job just cause its a slow day at the dealership dosent mean you come dressed like a bum. No you come in a full suit and tie.

| the way i see it, i think each person should choose gear they want to use. i think the player can play way more effectively if they are using gear, cammies, weapons, etc. that they picked out. playing in comfort is my thing. | |

| It really depends on whether you're going for a private military kind of look or a band of mercs kind of look. We could have a uniform for the team we're starting out here, but I decided to be an ass and buy a set each of ACU and MARPAT, and no Woodland like the others have. It would be awesome if our team was nice and uniform, but until the team dynamic overtakes the individualism, people will get whatever gear they want. Taking this game seriously is nothing to scoff at. | |

| The team I just joined up we have to have Black BDU's and woodland BDU's for Ops however you can use any color gear for skirmish's and practice.
which brings me to another point I have black BDU shirt and Tan fatigues (PMC loadout) is that considered black or tan? (all gear is tan except for dropleg holster)

| Warrior, it sound like you dress like Rambo. Pants vest and boots? Part of the problems today with airsoft and I have been in this sport since the late eighties, is that young kids come in and always want to criticize older guys in the game. You say he was in his thirties and was dressed to the max. I applaud him. Airsoft is more of mil-sim than any other genre,ie paintball. With all the equiptment that is sold to the airsofters out there I would think he was a dork if he showed up in urban camo pants and a woodland old navy fleece. Believe it or not thats what I saw a young gun wearing a few years ago. Don't knock a guy because he wears the real deal even if he never served. What he may be doing is trying in his own way to honor those that do serve by being as realistic as he can. Besides, I have been in weekend long games where whole teams of thirty to forty men were dressed identically as a squad. Nothing looks cooler than looking through the ranks and seeing each man squared away. I recently bought NBC chem suit to creeate the look of Marines in Iraq. It is also great suit to wear over clothes to keep warm in late fall and winter. And I am fifty years young by the way and could take you out of a skirmish before you knew the fight was on! | |
