Hey what's up? Quick question...

I have an M4 and I was wondering if SCAR-L's use the same gearbox as M4's (Example. V2, V3, etc.) if not could you tell me what verison gearbox do SCAR-L's use

Airsoft + Miami = Nowhere to play (unless you live in Homestead)

Cool so theoretical speaking, I could drop my M4's gearbox into a SCAR-L body without any problems? Right??? Surprised

Yes you could but there is the possibility you may have to switch out the air nozzle for it to work. Just switch it out with the stock one that comes with the SCAR's gearbox.

Cool dude thanks I might try buying a "boneyard" SCAR-L and just swap out the gearbox if necessary and buy parts to tune it up. Cool

Wait, why are you even swapping the gearbox out? I would just get the scar brand new and not have to worry about all of that.

True, I was thinking that it'd be cool to fix up a SCAR-L (and I thought it'd be cheaper (( examine the word thought) but it turn's out the it'd be more economical (and less troublesome) to just get a brand new one. Only problem now is picking a brand.

Here are two I found

Well if you have the money, WA actually came out with a GBB (Gas Blow Back) SCAR-H that simulates the real recoil.

Get the Dboys its a great gun, but get it in black because on the tan version the coloring doesn't exactly match and it looks tacky.

Partialy correct L-W,

Depending on the make and model an M4 V2 gearbox can be dropped into a SCAR,

The Shell design is a V2, but most are modified, some more than others, things to check first,

Left/Right Fire Selection, Connector pin, Gears may be required,
Selector Plate, most SCARS have a Strtange Selector Plate, the Standard M4 Plate causes problems,
Magazine Catch guide hole on the SCAR shell is missing,
Nozzle, Most SCARS have a longer Nozzle than the M4.
