The black one is made out of some sort of polymers and it is used at SVD-S,the paratrooper version! I use gun wrap when I play,so the wooden parts are covered! The wooden one is True Black Metal!

well, i don't think the Bundeswehr uses the SVD. if i remember right, they use the PSG1. scratch

Actually no military uses the Psg-1 because it is not very reliable and is very expensive.
