| guys, most of you know that i have a JG G36C. the fps is around 400. but, goddangit, the airsoft gods must not like me, because my field's limit is 330 fps (CQB only unfortunately). so i need to lower my fps quite drastically. is there anyway for me to do this, or am i screwed? i've been told velocity reducers only work for about 20 fps at the most | |

well be happy you got a field, there snt a single airsoft field in PA, except for poco loco which is in the poconos and is paintball but you can rent for airsoft, and it sounds like a gay bar, nooffense to anyone but "poco-loco"

| Hwgeneral gave you the best option, You need to downgrade the spring.
Velocity Reducers are pretty much a waste of money ( IMHO ), a PDI 120%, MB M110, would be the first 2 that I would look at.
Sorry but that is the way it goes, don´t do anything foolish like shortening the nozzle, this MOD just leads to all kinds of problems, that in the long runn will cost you more than a 4 new springs.

| well, i saw this, and i think it would actually work out better fps-wise. that way there's no chance of me going just over the limit and being stuck up the creek without a paddle again. i looked at the MB 110, but the description said it would hit 350-380 | |

| If you are worried about going over then drop in a MB M100, this spring will outlast the life of your gun, and will bring you in just under the limit. | |

| okay, so this one. it says i should get a metal spring guide and metal bushings, as well, so what would you recommend? Thats the one, if your Piston is equiped with Bearings, you Don´t want them on your Spring Guide also, the spring guide and bushings in the gun should already be metal. slob | |

The guy did have an upgraded GB, but if you read the review on that page he said it chronoed around 384 FPS....Not sure if that should alter your decision or not, just throwin it out there.

| I am willing to bet, the Persons review was in a GB with a Bore-Up set, the MB comes almost exactly out at the 330 FPS on a standard gun | |

| Yeah, most likely. I was just throwing it out there in case. And like SLOB has stated before in another thread, (I think it was him....correct me if I'm wrong man) Springs are easily interchanged, once you take them out it's not like you have to throw it away, you can switch them out as frequently and as many times as you want. So you can only have that spring in while at your field, if you like. | |

| idk bout that but like people said it really depends on how well you are a taken a gun apart. if you aren't so good asgi has a mod service and im sure you could send it in and they will do it for you | |

| Thanks D-T,
Your right, you can change out the Main Spring as much and as often as you want, the only thing to keep in mind, What can the Rest of the GB handle ?
Don´t go putting an M150 spring in a Standard GB, your playing time will be Limited, Piston, Gears and Shell won´t handle the power.

| You could short stroke the sector gear to take off another 10-15 FPS but it improves your ROF up to 3 RPS | |

| If you are going to short stroke, you need to short stroke the piston as well,
If you do one without the other, they `` Eat Each other ´´, the extra tooth on the piston catchen on the sector gear, and vica versa.

| yah you aught to be, the reinforcment parts are just suggested in case your gun is made for a really weak spring so you don't have issues but with a 100 you should be set | |
