| I had a dream. Where I killed many people at sc village, With the gun our fathers now use today. I heard many outs, many complaints, and many cries. I dream that one day, that my guns, would be able to be fully upgraded.
Okay, so to skip my worst impersonation of martin luther king jr's impersonation, I seriously had a vision in my head. I want to grab my M4, and do what every future successful airsoft did. I want to grab my JG m4 (well, echo 1 branded) gun, upgrade it to its fullest potential. My first idea was to grab a tighter inner barrel, and install it into the M4. I want the inner barrel, to stick out from the outer barrel, so I could put a barrel extension over it.
Now here comes the big question. How do I remove the Flash hider? I don't think I need to show a picture because i'm sure EVERYONE has a m4. So does anyone know how to remove the flash hider? DO I need an allen wrench, a flat head screw, a allen screw?

| Look under the Flash Hider....If it's like Most M4's there should be a small Allen Wrench screw in the bottom. Unscrew that with a Tiny Allen Wrench, then simply unscrew the Flash Hider.
NOTE: DON'T LOSE THAT TINY SCREW!! KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON IT

| Wait, so do I just use any tiny allen wrench? or does it have to be an allen screw driver? whatever that is, thats what a friend of mine said I think. | |

| It might be glued on, in which case you would have to warm up the flash hider so that the glue liquifies, and then just yank or screw it off. | |

| I just used a regular Allen Wrench.
Some of the cheaper flash hiders I've seen have indeed been glued on, and Aveenvp gives a good process for that.

| I"m starting to think its not an allen screw. because I"m been trying to get it out for the past hour, and it still hasn't worked. I used a hair dryer and put it on HOT and HIGH on the flash hider. For about 5 minutes, up to the point where the flash hider was too hot to hold for 3 seconds.
I've seen NO glue melt off, and I still can't unscrew it. Am I doing something wrong?

| Well, even if its not an Allen Wrench screw, if theres a screw down there it needs to come out. | |

| I can't take a pic, because its a really tiny hole.
Do they make flat head screw drivers with a 2mm flathead?

| It has to be an Allen Wrench....have you tried both the Black and the Silver kind? Allen Wrenches differ in not only size, but shape too. Mine was, I'm positive. | |

| well when i look in it, i see a line that looks like this
||
so I'm not sure if its really an allen screw. I'm using a metric allen wrench. the one that says 2. Maybe its the wrong size?

| I don't really think though, that theres a small flat head thats small enough to go inside the flash hider. | |
